Big fisher

I saw this on another site and it stated it was taken in Sharon Springs , NY. The article said it was killing livestock. There was no mention of when or how it was taken.

That thing is HUGE! This isn't one of those photography tricks that they use to make fish seem bigger than what they are is it? There is a way to hold the critter out at arm's length in front of you that exaggerates the size of it.

He's clearly holding out with his arms somewhat extended.  Seeing as I've only been lucky enough to get a couple trail cam videos of a fisher, I'd say he is an average sized specimen.

Man that's a good looking critter. I'm not sure it's actually as big as it looks but it's gotta be a big one either way

Good looking critter. I noticed a lot of folks on here saying they saw their first while deer hunting this last season. I've cut tracks the last 3 years , first on cam and saw first during deer season. Wonder how many turkeys that one ripped off the roost.
Buddy and son caught this one up in northern NY last year.

Of course people are flipping out in new york, the majority of the ones that live on Facebook don't have any clue about hunting or trapping

They get big as they age... Kind of like deer ..and people.. No season for years let's them grow..

Those are two good ones, I would say the kids is as big if not bigger!  Two amazing examples of what age can do!  They fascinate me with how effective a hunter they are!

Well if it was shot it is illegal without a livestock issue bc NY has no hunting season on them.

They seem to have made an impressive rebound during the last 5 or 6 years.  Prior to that I think I may have seen one or two.  I see several a year now in northern Oswego and Cayuga counties.

We just had one spotted and verified by the DEC in Bristol. Just down the street from my place.

They're plentiful here. On one property I hunt, I see them almost every time I bow hunt there. Really cool critters! Like how they slink through the woods. Saw the first one about 15 years ago, in this area.

They are good looking animals.  Fur looks very nice.
