Going to try the afternoon sit. They are finally cutting the corn by me.

Hopefully some of those deer end up northwest of that corn towards me

One night I was playing pool with this giant dude at the Stillwater, he kept his quarters in his ear! Did you hunt Coyle Hill? I spent the majority of five or six now seasons there

Was it a really big guy that was a local? If so, I probably know who you are talking about. Yep, hunted the hill, used to park campers up at the corner by the logging trail that went straight off of the main road coming in from the Belfast side. Used to call it "The Hilton on the hill". I havent hunted up there in a long time now.

Last sit of the year, will shoot a doe if a good opportunity presents itself but it will be given away, my freezer is full.

Just curious, and because I didn’t want to post on the harvest thread (per the rules), why did you pass a 10pt and several other big bucks but then shoot a young 5pt.?

First impressions of the city is I wish it was legal to pinch every person that blows there horn. Other than that all is well. The street hot dog sucked and I dropped a huge poop at the American girl doll store.

Great place if you never been before
As an annual member there I would agree! You can spend literally years visiting and never finish seeing it all

Last week of archery, I have wanted to kill a buck with my dads Xbow and it was a fun hunt still hunting. I like being in the woods and like having a tag in my pocket so for me to shoot a buck early in the season it’s gotta be a giant.

Highly unlikely there will be a next time, that place ain’t for me. We had pizza in little Italy and it was good but expensive. Best thing I ate was the bagels.

my primary care doctor whom i pretty much never go to has venison at some place down there for $80 a la carte. she said it's really good! hahaha she gets giddy and stupid when i come in and keeps asking if i still kill and eat deer and grow veggies in the garden. people that go down there are just different.

Hello to all my fellow bow hunters! Here's a question for you, if you had the chance to hunt and win $50,000, would you do it? Well your chance has come! It's the Bone Collector North American Whitetail Championship! The biggest and most exciting deer hunting tournament that's ever hit the whitetail woods! Here's how it works, throughout the USA and Canada, there's 14 different regions, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey would be considered as Region 1, the bow hunter that harvests the largest P&Y scoring buck in he or she's region will qualify for a championship hunt in the land of Giants, (KANSAS) at Wicked Outfitters for a chance to win $50,000!!  You may ask, is there an entry fee? Yes, there is a $300 entry fee, but here's the cool part, when you sign up, the crew at the championship will send you a gear package in the mail with over $400 worth of hunting gear! You will also have your name put in for hunt give away drawings and product give a ways! How cool is that!? You might be thinking to yourself, I don't have a big enough buck to hunt that i can win anything with. NOT the case, if you harvest a buck and enter it into the tournament, you will be put in for another drawing for the Kansas HUNT! How do you sign up? Simply go to www.nawtc.com fill out the entry form that's required for you to sign up, and your ready to go! When your filling out the entry form, you will see where it says referral, type in our email address crossovertheriveroutdoors@gmail.com to let the guys at the championship know that your signing up through us! Watch the video below about the Bone Collector North American Whitetail Championship and enter today!  Last year I was blessed to be the region 1 winner of this great tournament, and i'm currently getting ready to head for Kansas for the championship hunt! I couldn't believe that God gave this opportunity to me! Check out the hunt that one me the region and if you want to see how the championship hunt unfolds for me, follow me on Instagram, Facebook @ Cross Over the River Outdoors! Maybe im jumpin the gun a bit quick but.....
As the 2019 deer season is coming fast and the live from the woods thread is going to light up like a christmas tree(better train this kid at work fast so i can follow up on all the deer porn)...The quickly approaching season has got new topics popping up and me getting antsy sooo......
Is there anyone with a new approach to this years season different from the past?
      Different preparations for the season,etc.
Accomplishment's/goals you are shooting for in the 2019 season?
      Shorter/longer sits etc.

      A few of mine..
1.Prep by shooting as much as possible
2.Spend as much time as i can in my "happy place"(always been my peaceful place)
3.Get my first mount done so i can hang it on the wall at the first house(bare spot!)
4.Get neccessary equipment for processing my own deer in the garage(needs a good cleanin before opening day!!)
5.See the smile on Jay's(turkeyfeathers) face with his first bow harvest!!!!
6.Be blessed and thankful to be able to spend time in the great outdoors.cherish every moment of the woods coming alive at day break(g/f doesnt understand it!!!)<<but im ok with that
This year has flew by and season will be here before we know it.This post is a bit early but im pumped and ready for some woods time!!!!

Hey everyone! I'm Louis Backlas, and I'm from Wyoming county N.Y. This past fall I entered the largest deer hunting tournament the hunting industry has ever seen. The Bone Collector North American Whitetail Championships. In this tournament, there was 14 different regions in the United States. Region 1 being New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Winners of each region qualify for a hunt in Kansas at Wicked Outfitters and will have a chance to win $50,000. I was blessed to be the winner for region 1! Pretty Excited here about this! I wanted to invite all of you N.Y hunters to watch my latest video that was uploaded to my YouTube Channel, Cross Over the River Outdoors. In this video, I will take you on the hunt that qualified me for the championships in Kansas coming this September! After watching the video, Please give my YouTube channel a follow and you can also follow me on Instagram and Facebook @ Cross Over the River Outdoors! Send some prayers my way ya'll!
