This morning my backyard looks amazing......green as can be and growing fast.  The front is another story; looks like Jeremy's with the brown patches.  I'm not sure why as I do apply Scott's products twice a year.  Turf builder plus weed & feed in the spring and Turf builder winterguard fall weed & feed are my choices.  I couple weeks ago I raked the b-jesus out of some really rough spots and then bought a bag of Scott's seed, wondering if it'd meet the King's (Bizzy) approval. :)

Lets revisit this in a month...............

My brown spot is from having that silver maple removed ,everything ive researched says either wait a few years or dig all the dirt out and refill. The kid next door was trying to get a business started so i  paid him to remove the dirt/chips and refill . I'm guessing he stopped short of removing enough of the acidic dirt and chips .

Kentucky Blue Grass? Might take a few weeks to germinate

Perhaps we can inspire Treeguy that slacker.

I offered to give him a free consult. All he has to do is let me sleep on his couch, put me on 10lb+ brown trout on his boat, and shoot a 130” deer on his property

My guess is grubs.  Dig up some dirt and see if you turn up any critters.

i bought a property that was a foreclosure. lol i did rake the front a week or so ago on a nice day.  a lot of thatch and leaves came up. the zero turn is still at the farm and i'll get it ready soon. no point in doing anything with the lawn. i'm getting the equipment over to the house. ripping up trees and/or shrubs out front by road and along house. some more off the the side where i'm digging everything up to put a garage. it'll look like a motocross track if anything for a while.
