cachemoney
How times have changed since Obama wasn't even given a Senate confirmation for Merrick Garland so the voters could "have a voice".

Now both president and senate are on the same side so it will probably happen . in other words it is up to both branches to agree for it to happen . legally they get to decide one way or the other . Maybe thats the type of Supreme Court Judge you would of loved . Voted 4 times against your 2nd Amendment rights to own a firearm . Good riddens to him . I'm glad we never had a chance to find out what he would do as a Supreme Court judge https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2016/05/01/merrick-garland-guns-supreme-court-second-amendment-column/83670044/ Edited September 19, 2020 by SportsmanNH

"elections have consequences". I believe that was Obama. Unfortunately for him he couldn't hold the Senate so his nominee was DOA.
wolc123
It is awesome that Trump is going to get to seat RBG's replacement before the election. That is going to be a serious set back for the pro-choicers and the anti-2nd amendment crowd. We ought to see some serious unhingement over the next few weeks.

wolc123
I wonder if the ny hunting liberal foursome (versatile, lefty, chef, and bm) are upset with the Trump RBG replacement situation. It seems odd none of them have chimed in on this yet. It has to be painful for them to watch Trump get more done in 4 years than Obama ever thought of in 8. left field
My guess is that there are a few more, but I'm not sure I'm that liberal unless believing that Trump is a lying stupid POS and dangerous to the country makes me a liberal. I know it's hard to understand, but one can be pro America and anti Trump.

I agree with you on the classic positions. But the today's modern liberals absolutely no longer support limited government or capitalism. They regularly denounce capitalism in favor of socialism. And they are indeed for individual rights as long as it's not 2A stuff.
