As a guy who BEAT cancer I am already rich.So much of my winnings would go to ST.Jude hospital as I cannot hold back tears when I see children suffer from this scourge on humanity. As crazy as it sounds if you have a healthy family you are already rich.

I never said hunting a hawk, I said OUT HUNTING a hawk. The last couple times I've been out there a hawk has taken two rabbits I was about to shoot at... so my reference is to beat the hawk this time out. Perhaps before you get all up in arms you may want to actually read instead of jumping to conclusions.

Just a casual observer, but are you two sure you're reading 22Plinker correctly? I read his post as saying he wanted to "outhunt" it, as in compete with it.

You forgot to add that the fuel for their dump truck was taken from the local orphanage's heating oil tank.

Under the cover of darkness they sneak into neighborhoods, climb up onto roofs and perch right next to your warm chimneys, sniping the unsuspecting deer munching on your arborvitaes. Then, the deer that DON'T sneak off wounded are drug out by illegal immigrants, gutted and tossed in the meat wagon. After the nights shoot is over, they take them to the city dump and pull the dump bed lever...........

They do? Personally, I think anyone who thinks it's a racist symbol has no education regarding the south or the War of Aggression. There are plenty of Southern Blacks who admire and display that flag. As far as another civil war goes, there are plenty of real Americans in this land that have removed themselves from the politics and election process in this country, simply because it has become a farce. But a civil war would be completely real to many of them, and I believe they would get involved with gusto if given the chance to force constitutional principles on the leftists without fear of going to jail.

I have some awesome pics and video of this hawk, it is very impressive. The very first time I saw him was two weeks ago. He was in a tree overhead and swooped out and took a mouse or mole (something small) that was maybe 10 yards away. Last week he was out two days in a row and beat me to two rabbits i was about to shoot at and a third I didn't even see. I would NEVER shoot a hawk. It was just an amazing thing to witness.

I think quite a few gun owners, as evidenced by some of their posts on this site, actually voted for Cuomo. The worst enemy of gun owners are politicians, usually Democrats, who want to attack gun rights. The next worst enemy of gun owners, are the gun owners who support Democrats that want to attack gun rights. Voting is important, yes. But voting for candidates that REALLY support the 2nd Amendment, is even more important.

You should come in and give that lecture to my students. They are generally a very lazy bunch, and I know they would really appreciate your take on what makes for a successful life and career. Lord knows, they hate to hear about how much effort it takes to achieve success in their chosen courses of study. You are a product of our age. lol

we do one each year in march at willow bay in Bradford pa we usually leave around 430am on Saturday get there around 630 set up and do some drinking pay kan jam take a hike and hang out by a fire some stay in tents a me and my father inlaw bring our hammocks. we call it the mancation lol. usually I make a venison chili we bring burgers hot dogs and lost my father inlaw cooked a delicious ham over the fire

We have perhaps 2-3 inches here in Steuben along the Pennsyltucky border. JUST enough so that I am going WABBIT HUNTING tomorrow with one of my buddies and his two beagles....hehehehehehe .....

A Reuters/IPSOS poll came out early today claiming that "most Americans" favor further gun control legislation. Their tally was 50% in favor. Considering how they do polling it's not really a stretch that they would consider that to be "most Americans". They've pulled the story from most news feeds. ;-]

First stop i'm looking right Dog is looking left and winning I look and there is about 12 Brant just starting to lift off the water took two shot dropped my one Brant sent the Dog to retrieve did a nice job this was his first Brant picked it up and brought it right to me he is getting better with each hunt

We had an 8# Yorkie female (Angel) & a 4# male. (Chewy) They were "stuck" on the back of the coach when the kids got off the school bus. Poor Chewy got quite a ride, & NOT an enjoyable one at that!!

For you, your Dad, and friends sake. Do your homework on the subject and make sure everyone follows thru. There are ways to safely get down from a tree after a fall IF you are not injured. Another rope put around the tree with a Prussic knot will allow you to put your foot into it and stand etc... Help via phone is the best way after a fall. Ol dog on a stray

A little off subject, but I would like to have one nice bearskin rug. I wouldn't shoot a small bear, but after taking one nice one I would quit. As for deer, I've taken a few nice bucks for my area & was losing interest. I took an average one this year with an iron sighted Krag that belonged to my Dad. That has piqued my interest & now I want to hunt with it rather than my scope sighted tack drivers. If you kill a really big buck with a CF rifle & begin to lose interest. Build or buy yourself a nice flintlock rifle, learn how to load & shoot round balls accurately & ad some challenge. They're still legal during the regular season!

I heard today Obama was looking into The Australian Gun Control Law. He said it works there! I'd call it National Disarmament or Confiscation. Hillary said she liked it too, so 4 more years of attacks if she wins. People stupid to believe there end game is not complete Disarmament. He said polls suggest American's support more gun Laws. I read the small print, half never owned a gun and said they had no need for guns. These are the same people that voted Obama and will vote Hillary.

Some of you guys are pretty thick.................this stuff has been going on for at least 20 and maybe 25 years here in WNY. Only the BEST of equipment; suppressed rifles, night vision, bait, paid shooters etc. I don't know the ratio of hit & killed vs hit & lost but I'd bet dollars to donuts they don't loose many. What is killed is utilized well; IIRC the Buck & Doe Shop in Amherst handles lots of those deer. Some people in need of a deer or two have been known to have that need filled. I've seen with my own eyes (and helped process) the expertly field dressed (with a bag of ice in the chest cavity!) deer that have come out of these handoff's. And as far as archers doing the job; get real. How many deer do you really think the bow hunters are going to get? Who's going to give the permission (and except liability) and how's that dead doe (oh it better NOT have horns!!) in the neighbors yard going to fly? Lordy lordy wait until the pregnant doe's fetus jump out on Mrs Smith's lawn. UGGH! Unfortunately these municipalities have waited too long to implement a plan for archers to assist, they need to get the numbers down right now and sharpshooters can do that, tonight while you're all sleeping. It'd be nice to THEN allow archers to keep things under control but that hasn't happened around here and might not happen for you, just Johnny Law get to do the job.........oh and some local farmers of course.
