How many guys sight this way and why wouldn't you? If someone doesn't understand it's basically using the 12 o clock position of the pin n your arrow hits just above that point in order not to cover what you're shooting at. Imo it's a better method. its like using iron sights on a firearm.

I use a pretty small diameter pin and have never done this on my bow. i do use this method for iron rifle and pistol sights though

Thanks Grampy. My son and I share the same birthday. Leaving work a bit early to install an inground basketball hoop for him today. Should be fun, although the heat may be a killer. Our first one on one game may have to wait for cooler temps. lol

So my day so far........Dad and I were on the river by 8:00am. We were using live bait, bass chubs as we call them. On the very first drift dad got a snag and that is RARE for us. The current is so strong that by the time I got the motor fired up and up ahead of the snag a ton of line had played out. We got above it and I thought we'd get it. No big deal if we broke the line but heck, why not try and free it?? It turned into a royal cluster! All of a sudden the line is going under the boat, dad has the pole in his hand. The tip of the pole dives down under the transom and I quickly shut the motor down as I didn't want to get the line in the prop. Before I could cut the line, the tip and half the damned rod is pulled between the motor and transom. I reached around (NOT a "reach around" you pigs) and grabbed the line and the rod is in pieces! I'm not really sure WTH happened but it wasn't good. Oh by the way, that's the rod I made dad for Father's Day last year. I had a spare rig so I yanked the reel off that one and put dad's lefty on. He was back in the water quicker than it took to write this.......... We caught only two bass, one each before we pulled the plug. Here's dad's fish.................. Here's dad's busted rod.............. It'd be a nice pack rod for some back country hiker. Gotta run, more fun to come!

Snuck out with my son this morning. Great Father's Day for sure.

Well I was about to start my summer scouting and put out trail cams when I had to make a tough decision to move back to FL. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here and had some great hunting adventures along the way! I've enjoyed the forum despite all the useless banter and more political BS than I'd like to see on a "HUNTING" site , but I digress ... I've made some friends and some enemies , but for the most part enjoyed " live from the woods " the most .... I'll still tube in to see how everyone's season is going for those of you who I give a f about .... And even though I'm not in NY any longer I'll keep ya posted o how the hot a$$ FL season is going .... The wife over did it….Hamburgers, Hoffman hots,Italian sausage and peppers, marinaded chicken kabobs, fruit salad, tater salad, mac salad, baked beans.. and some stuff I forgot about. We only had about a dozen people over and I have a years worth of food left over!!!! My idiot brother in law did his usual get drunk off of two beers then do a cannonball in the pool and splash everyone, while they're eating thing…….I tried to sneak away to the front porch for a cigar, while everyone was in back, but my oldest daughter caught me and whined so much that I never even lit the thing... All in all a very good day though!!

So yesterday I was at the farm. Nice weather. 1st cutting off several fields now. After unloading some hay wagons I went around checking for holes in the truck. Spotted a chuck in one. Stalked along field edge to 226 yards and decided that was close enough. Count should climb fast if I can get out more and now that some fields are mowed off.

Ended up being a great day on the lake. Wasn't sure what to expect but I can definitely say none of us were disappointed. Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk

2,015 bow. Killed the day following helping another member recover his buck..... I guess that deed was rewarded . 10 yard shot 100 yard easy walk to find it . Ok a Euro mount ,hope that counts.
