mine from a few years back. Actually that was my most successful season hunting the property. Had tons of does taken and that bad boy. Now I can't seem to shoot jack diddly, and not for lack of deer neither, there's tons on the property! Go figure Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk4 points

Happy Birthday, Moog !! Hope ya get lucky on your birthday.. At my age, getting lucky means taking a leak without peeing on my shoes...3 points

For me, I like to have the arrow hit where the pin is. Just more simple. To match my brain function.3 points

How many guys sight this way and why wouldn't you? If someone doesn't understand it's basically using the 12 o clock position of the pin n your arrow hits just above that point in order not to cover what you're shooting at. Imo it's a better method. its like using iron sights on a firearm.2 points

Happy Birthday moog! Hope your day day is filled with family, friends and all the good stuff! And throw in an ice cold beverage of your choosing too!2 points

It definitely got the Brotherhood white-wash treatment, as per their demands.2 points

Thanks all! I am putting it in reverse now. Next year I turn 45 again. I don't want to reach the age where not peeing on my shoes is lucky. Thanks for the heads up Pygmy!2 points

So now you and the progressive left are comparing Trump to Hitler. To agree with this comment shows just how twisted you and them have become. You make Hilary very proud, drinking your cool aide like a good little subject.2 points

I use a pretty small diameter pin and have never done this on my bow. i do use this method for iron rifle and pistol sights though2 points

Thanks Grampy. My son and I share the same birthday. Leaving work a bit early to install an inground basketball hoop for him today. Should be fun, although the heat may be a killer. Our first one on one game may have to wait for cooler temps. lol2 points

So my day so far........Dad and I were on the river by 8:00am. We were using live bait, bass chubs as we call them. On the very first drift dad got a snag and that is RARE for us. The current is so strong that by the time I got the motor fired up and up ahead of the snag a ton of line had played out. We got above it and I thought we'd get it. No big deal if we broke the line but heck, why not try and free it?? It turned into a royal cluster! All of a sudden the line is going under the boat, dad has the pole in his hand. The tip of the pole dives down under the transom and I quickly shut the motor down as I didn't want to get the line in the prop. Before I could cut the line, the tip and half the damned rod is pulled between the motor and transom. I reached around (NOT a "reach around" you pigs) and grabbed the line and the rod is in pieces! I'm not really sure WTH happened but it wasn't good. Oh by the way, that's the rod I made dad for Father's Day last year. I had a spare rig so I yanked the reel off that one and put dad's lefty on. He was back in the water quicker than it took to write this.......... We caught only two bass, one each before we pulled the plug. Here's dad's fish.................. Here's dad's busted rod.............. It'd be a nice pack rod for some back country hiker. Gotta run, more fun to come!2 points

Ya mixed feelings going back ... Things to look forward to: beer drinking swamp buggy rides , beer drinking airboat rides out to camp, dirt road sunset drives to the camp fire... Things to miss .... Low public land hunting pressure , fall , leaf color change sunset sits in the stand , seeing fresh tracks in the snow on the way to the stand , and skiing !1 point

The most impressive bang flop I've ever seen in person was from a 25.06....big gnarly buck too. Darn thing didn't even flinch. One of those times where you watch the shot and all you can do is say dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmn!1 point

Another interesting trick since follow through was mentioned n this may help new shooters or particularly parents teaching kids. Children tend to think differently, the way I teach classes is as the bow jumps at the shot the last thing done is put the bow back on target. Kind of forces follow through n it's easy to do1 point
