  1. Never forget! Thousands of lives lost that day and the hero's who went to save them. Also the hero's on flight 93 United Airlines who fought to prevent more lives from being taken! All those fire fighters who lost there lives trying to save others.
  2. Congratulations, hope its everything you wanted including a nice big buck!
  3. Read it again Doc! I think WNYBuckHunter hit the nail on the head. Great post!
  4. Looks great, awesome job! So many animal benefit from this! Good luck to you this year, hope you get the BIG one!
  5. Good luck you have some great help, hope to see your success in pics later this year!
  6. So hard to really tell in a picture with bears, need and better estimate of feet size, length etc. Shots from above show the animal as broadside vs this angle. Feet look similar in size to cams on the bow to me indicating a small animal. Again his feet are not at the right angle to get a real good idea on size so I could be off.
  7. Had our 3D championship today at Suffolk Archers. Had some good fun with all the guys shooting and still took 3rd with my adjustable sight set at 40 yards for the entire shoot, new string and cables installed the day before so I had to figure out my compensations below 40 yards. Started off good till the 2nd shot location where I missed the running deer! Arg not a great start but I was able to catch up and take first for a few rounds till a couple of 8's and one 5 took me out. (We keep a running score in our group.) Took 3rd with a 510 out of 560 could have done much better but had a great time and was not really expecting to place due to new sting set up. Did a robin hood at maybe 15 yards that my buddy was not to happy about, lol. (His shot looked perfect!) Last shoot of the year next week! I will be running the shoot, come on down, hope the rain holds off better for next week. 8. Looks small compared to the bow, 150-165 dressed? Might be the illusion of how it placed in the picture and how it was taken. Going say 175-195 dressed. Final answer, lol. Again looks like it could be larger but its kind of a strange angel.
  9. Good luck, hope it works out!
  10. That will save some ankles. Nice gun! Awesome!

  12. I use the 44 mag in Winchester model 94 rifle. With the barrel being longer it gets more push, I have had some rounds pass through but on larger deer a pass through is not always present. (This can make tracking much harder especially if you are inexperienced.) I would stay away from any handgun round that is not a mag. 44 mag 357 mag and anything close to those, going any lower and you are asking for trouble, I would also recommend good ammo as not all ammo is created the same. I have fired rounds that are as light as a BB gun(Low powder, not the bullet.) and rounds that have some good kick with a flame coming out the end of the barrel. BIG difference in bullets and amount of powder with powder being the first major factor and bullet as second. Federal makes a 300 grain cast core that I like to use along with american eagle that has a hot charge in 240 grain (Not sure of the exact round). The 300 is great for close ranges and the high powder 240's are great past 50 yards, I would think, never took a shot past 50 with this gun.
  13. I play the wind, simply another thing to wast money on but the guys who use it swear by it.
  14. Happy Birthday! Feel better, glad you are back home, get well soon!
  15. How is that possible that you are getting 340 fps with that bow? What spine and weight arrows? The bow is only rated for 343 with a 70 lb limbs and 30.5 inch draw. Arrow weight total and GPI? Did you actually chrono it or are you estimating?
  16. Wire ties work better and you can brush it in much better.
  17. You are better off sinking it into the ground as this will keep it in place vs a board it can slip on when wet. We purposely sink them in to keep them from moving, some even have stake holes to allow it to be secured in place.
  18. Cut some branches from around the area and brush it in good with wire ties. If you are afraid of being sky-lined then add brush to the top area you are in. Do it early as possible so they get use to it.
  19. I would always stop in after the season and pick up some good left over clothes or gloves and would use the discounts to get other hunting gear, no more. I would rather pay twice the amount than go back to them. Lucky for me I don't need to much more gear just boots I tend to wear out and I can buy them online, never going back to them.
