  1. Probably Just luring that dog out so they can attack as a pack. Watch some videos by big paw dawg decoying coyotes. Its quite cool to watch!
  2. You can do it the same day. Spread your seed, then spray your vegetation with round up. If you can, roll it after spreading the seed. If not, a rain will seat your seed into the soil for you. Have done this method many times before. Yea, Last summer was brutal for late season planting, more than half of my fall plots failed last year, they germinated perfect but the rain never gave up and drowned most everything I planted from August through September. Without seeing it, its hard to say, when in doubt I always start over from scratch. Spray it and seed it same day. ( Did this with a clover plot in early June, results were phenomenal) Hate to see more weeds than plots species and waste money on seed. These pretty, smaller green plots within the woods draw attention like crazy. also, anyone frost seeding with "shelf bags of clover" should read the label.. Products like WI Clover, is 1/2 berseem clover which wont work with frost seeding..
  3. By failed what do you mean? If you plan to frost seed, do it now or within the next couple weeks. But also make sure weed and grass competition is eliminated as best as possible. Unless you have a grain re growing for a nurse crop. OR you can wait until everything turns green and is warm enough, spread seed and spray it with roundup. A rain will seat your seed for you. Lots of good choices for seeds, but I like products with minimal weed seed and little "inert matter" like seed coatings.... I had planned on frost seeding but I am going to wait for green up, spray and start over. With a different perennial blend.
  4. That is awesome. Thanks for sharing and congrats! Think I need to go through my pics again and form a collage of some sort!
  5. I had a Refield Revenge 3-9x42 that I gave to my grandfather in law as a fathers day gift, to put on his 204 so we could coyote hunt together. Been a great scope so far. Was originally on a 308 with zero issues
  6. If it is indeed legal, most all seeds will grow without tilling soil, Some are better than others.. Such as Winter rye as mentioned, smaller the seed the better. An adequate rainfall is required though. Your hardest part would be removing weeds and grass competition. Without tilling or spraying..
  7. Beautiful pic! I love spring turkey trail cam pics. I have a bunch of favorites. Here is 1
  8. We put a female to rest Friday night.. she was full of pups Before you ask, My buddy doesnt like his face plastered online
  9. Matt, ill send ya a browning with time lapse so we can watch!
  10. Reminds me of the good old days at camp with Dad and great friends.. when we would run to town for a few groceries, Dad had a thing for bologna, so when we were finished shopping he'd break out the bologna and start eating it before we left the parking lot. He would also start feeding the seagulls, and as the seagulls began gathering around.. He would start flinging them on top of peoples car hoods and car tops. I know, it wasn't right, but Man it was absolutely hilarious watching them scavengers dive bomb peoples cars.. Sorry Brings back a memory of my at times childish old man..
  11. That one looks like its a blonde with a litle red mix!
  12. If you like Ron White, Watch Rodney carrington. Hes even better! By far lol
  13. My 6.5cm has the Vortex Viper PA 6.5-20x44. Still a great combo.
  14. My Browning 6.5cm shoots everything pretty well. Currently shooting 95gr vmax out of it, since I probably wont be shooting it over a few hundred yards.. But it shot 143gr ELD-M very well.
  15. LET EM GROW

    Pontoon boats

Pontoon is where its at, I love tubing and such with my I/O but It may get traded in for a nice Pontoon. Both my uncles have 25' pontoons and they are just more enjoyable where im at in life now with kids and all. Still great, and comfy to fish from too..
  16. " A little something's, better than a lot of nothing..."
  17. Vortex hog hunter or Athlon Midas/Argos Both great scopes with a good price. I like the idea of the Vortex fire-dot between cross hairs rather than the complete illuminated reticles.. But the glass on my Midas is better.
  18. Sorry for your families loss. I try to offer anything at all if I see someone depressed or down.. IT could really make their day..
  19. I just bought the Tenzig Turkey vest for Predator hunting this year. I found it on amazon last spring for 73$ .. Has kick stand and tons of pockets, too many really. a big thick seat cushion. Besides the many buckles/pockets.. The vest is awesome. The kick stand is great if your not setting against a tree. But it and the frame will be in the way if you plan to set against a tree.
  20. I did yes!! Until I met my now Wife... Then my belongings got thinned out some lol
  21. From this past Saturday day hunt. We were finishing up the 2nd set on this property getting ready to walk another 1/2 mile and try another set. Where we were setup was fairly quiet and out of the wind for the most part, so i thought lets hang out for a few more minutes. Theres a den nearby, its pretty calm in this bottom and fairly thick around.. plus a long draw/ravine that comes out in 150 yards in front of us.. Told my buddy Im going to play a pup in distress, followed by another different pup in distress, followed by a third different pup in distress if nothing comes to the first 2, then we can pack and head to the next set.. Just as the third pup in distress was just almost done, this female came racing in, barreling across the field.. she stopped once quick after she entered the field, and stopped for the last time when the call ended(perfect timing) and she hit the 100 yard mark.. with swirling winds i wasn't going to chance it.. Was a great hunt, especially since ive been cooped up with sick un healthy kids since Gun season.. Felt great to get out finally..
  22. There were a set of tracks all over this property that were bigger than either of us have ever seen before. We had a giant male come in here last year but no shots, my guess is its him. I should have taken a pic. Found a spot where a female in heat pissed and the males tore it all up. This property had more coyote tracks on it than deer, and its a sanctuary for deer lol.
