erussell
I split my left thumb nail down the middle at work today and they had to pull the cuticle up and put half the nail back in place. I can barely move my thumb and worst of all I cant pull my bow back and there is only 12 days left. I'm so bumbed!

Doc
I would take a hammer and keep hitting it until it is completely numb. No, seriously that is a very bad development. i can't imagine how you are going to be able to hunt without losing a bunch of days. How on earth did you do that kind of damage? Doc
First-light
Hope your better. I dislocated my finger back in August and this past weekend when it was in the mid 30's it really bothered me. You may be able to pull back but the cold might put you in alot of pain. Bring along some advil during the hunt.
20ftupatree
I just got a new (well different) bow for this season just two days ago. I finally got tru glo sights on it and QAD rest so I only shot it yesterday. Over the summer I fell from a ladder only 6 ft but landed on my right shoulder and did hurt it. it hurt for weeks, now last night shooting it's killing me again and I only pulled it back 5 times and im done, so i just had my poundage rduced to less than 60 because I just can't do it
nyslowhand
Been there, done that with a rotator cuff 1 1/2 years ago. Same situation with bow, reduce draw & minimal practice.
erussell
I How on earth did you do that kind of damage? Doc I mashed it in a machine at work, not looking forward to all the b--- busting at work tonight, not to mention having to go see the company nurse and safety and Engineering. Karpteach
Sorry to hear it, damn that looks scary. I you could take the pain, get warm water and SEA salt (it has to be sea salt, it has iodine) mix well and soak. It hurts like the Dickens but works. crappyice
Temporary setback...If the first thingyou thought was can I pull back my bow, two weeks should be plenty of time for your healing. sweet old bill
I had a accident a number of years ago, I had the wind blow a branch into my ancor as I was coming to full draw on a buck. It caused the release to go off, also a part of branch pushed the arrow at the same time. The BH entered my open grip on the bow handle, causing me to have 35 striches in the index finger. That had shot me up so they go sew me up. I tried the next day to shoot with the finger in a splint, and about 3 times the normal size. By the next day I cause grip the bow, two days later I got the buck I had started to draw on. We all hope you will be able to recover and be out there. Let us know how you make out... bushnell
Speaking of back muscles, I just pulled one this morning at a barn fire. I will be ready though. Nothing that Skelexan (not sure if spelled right) can't take care of.
