eagle rider
For those of us who like fixed blades, what are you shooting. For me, I'm still happy with NAP Thunderhead 100's. They fly great and make for great blood trials. They are tough as nails on deer.

nycredneck
I shot Thunderheads for many, many years, both 125's and 100's. Very reliable heads, tough, sharp out of the box, and leave great bloodtrails when put in the right spot. That said I got a great deal on Muzzy 100 and started shooting them with my 65lb Elite, I have to say they fly well, I mean real well, seem to be be as strong as my trusted Thunderheads but have yet to shoot a deer with them. Taylormike
Without a doubt I stick with Muzzy! I have had good luck with Muzzy. I prefer the 3 blade to the 4 blade. I shoot 100 grain. As we hear over and over, its comes down to preference and accuracy, they will all do their job when the shot goes where intended. I like how muzzy fly and I won't shoot mechanicals just because of that. Anything with moving parts, i.e., not fixed, will have a chance of not working as planned. You hear from time to time of someone recovering an arrow saying, it didn't deploy or open correctly. My worry is quartering shots, when bone gets in the way. With that said, mechanicals leave tremendous blood trails but I can say so do muzzy. They all work, they all fail. Most importantly, practice as much as possible, use new broad heads, and take responsible manageable shots and recovery percentages will climb significantly.
mjac
Always used the NAP Thunderheads myself 100g. Took many deer with them. Switched to Muzzy 100g this year due to price, couldnt beat the Walmart online price for 6 pack ( incl a practice head too ). I find that the Muzzy are slightly better groups , now just need to see the blood trail !

t_barb
Slick Tricks. No reason to go with anything else... Have tried a lot of different heads over the years and these are probably the best. At the end of the day, if shot choice and placement is good, they will all get the job done.. It is more a matter of what you are confident in.
