Where in Italy? I am Italian and my family is from the north-east (friuli). mountains, woods etc. i had no idea wolves were there.

That was in southern Italy. In Calabria and I think in the woods of Sila.

Update on my uncle Sal.  God bless him he turned 106 on April 14.   He's been doing something right his entire life!!

It is with a heavy heart that I must update this thread with the passing of my beloved great uncle Salvatore.  Got a phone call from Italy yesterday that he passed peacefully as he deserved.  He would have turned 107 in April of next year. 

God blessed him and our family with his longevity.  He will be truly missed.

Sorry for your loss.  That's incredible!  To live to be 106!!  I see people everyday who are broken down in their 40's and 50's(many from of their own self abuse), and he lives to be 106.  That is quite an accomplishment!!  He definitely did something right.
