This is the worse year I can remember. Seen 3 doe in Oct on our land. Held out seen another 1wk gun and that has been it. 36 Amish & a couple trespassers. I hunted 3 different areas 7j,7r,7m below avg rut sign in all this year too.

That's because there are so many deer running around, that people are flock shooting. Like when there's a bunch of ducks coming in, & you get so excited that you just point & shoot, not killing any.

On a conf call around 4pm and dog wants to go out. Open up the back door not paying any attention. She takes off bat outa hell so I look and flippin turkeys running and flying everywhere! Bashing into trees, heading in every different direction. Musta been about the 40 of them I saw a few days ago. It was a sight!

Just had a nice blonde yote come I'm behind me. He busted me right before I could get around enough to get a shot on him

I had decoys. 4 larger sized fawns at 25 yards. Browsed for a bit and meandered off. Ok , so this is what they look like again. Larger variety now please

It may be because people don't want to get slammed for shooting a button buck, spike, a non 3.5 year old buck, a fawn or small "non mature" doe. Just my .02

 

Or maybe members don't feel the need for the pat on the back.
