Just got winded by 2 nice doe heard twig snap behind me and watched them go behind brush. Was waiting for them to come out for clear shot but breeze started and that wss the end of that. Heart was starting to pump for sure!

Found em about 150 yards from where I bumped em. Absolutely STUNK. Sun was beating em on and the flies were going crazy.

I got one lung/ liver, and stomach. What a tough animal. Was 250 yards from where I shot em. So glad I backed out and waited. Looked like he was dead for a few hours by the time I got to him, but better safe than sorry.

I gut em and just stuffed him/ covered him with bags of ice. Will hang em up overnight .

Hopefully the meat is good

My wife was so happy for me that she took a few awesome pics when I got him home.

Congrats to all the successful hunters on Day 1.  

I shot, trimmed stands, moved a stand, touched up a couple brush blinds, and checked cams.  The season starts next Saturday for me.  Can Not Wait.

Well everything was perfect....until...a Damon button buck looking his mind...I have to say long story short...some one needs to put an arrow through him!!!!!!

Oh and a Fox running the bright  rd cat past our barn towards me...They hit the hedge row and I heard a blood curdling meow and silence...I'm guessing who won...Lol...2 cats in 2 bow seasons  1 owl,1 Fox. Makes me wonder how many are taken each year.

My son saw a doe no shot and my friend hunting with us this morning also had 3 does no shot..

Hang a buck that was gut shot if you do
Hang please wash very well
