wooly
Took lil Billy out after the rain this morning to look for some eagles. He found one soaring in a big ol' beech log so we took a few pics of todays father-son time spent together. I hate to play favorites, but little Billy is probably my favorite of all my kids! So strong and fast, and eats like a horse! His work blocking out is done for now, and he's a real natural at this stuff. Tomorrow I'll take the other bratts out and beat on them for a bit,lol

Are you selling any of your pieces? Im interested. Thanks men! I just make them and set them aside until someone comes along who likes/wants them. This way I get to do my own thing with no pressure to meet anyone elses expectations. As you can probably tell by the first pic, I don't put much time or effort into drawing out my ideas onto the wood, lol. I just keep carving away until I feel like I've taken them far enough. I'll post more pics when I'm finished and if you're still interested just let me know.

He brings me wood and helps with cutting down trees, so we're pretty tight now! 2 minutes ago, Stein13 said: Wooly to you have any bear carving for sale I've got a few from last summer left, but they're nothing fancy.

stubborn1VT
Truly impressive. I think it takes an artist to see the eagle in that beech log. I love the shape and detail in the wings. Thanks for sharing Matt.
grampy
Been following all of your artistic endeavors for quite awhile now. You have so many varied talents Matt. You are truly a world class artist! Your work amazes me to no end. This piece is epic! Can't wait to see it done! I'm thinking of coming to you in May, to pick through whatever you have laying out in the yard, and bringing something home with me. I have a few pieces of your art. And can never get enough! To meet up with you, is on my bucket list!!! Can even bring a shotgun, if ya know of any birds. It would be an honor to share a hunt with you! And a beer afterwards. Birds......................hmmmmm. A turkey carving, at some point would be pretty cool too!!!??? 1
