Uncle Nicky
Not a NY trip, but spent yesterday on the Delaware Bay & NJ tidal marshes. 3 guys, over 150 white perch boated, about 50 of the larger ones kept. First weakfish I've caught in probably 30 years; couldn't have asked for nicer weather!

Over the years since they started the stocking program. But never one even close to 50 inches.

Nytracker
Well have to report the good and the bad. Fished yesterday daybreak to noon . Threw everything I had and only one bump on an Ontario trib. 4 in my group and no joy for the day. Had great time socializing. Shared some Irish coffee. Drive home was entertaining down 63 from Batavia to Geneseo. People really dont know how to drive in snow.

Those are some beauties! So do you keep any of them and how are they if you do?
chrisw
Those are some beauties! So do you keep any of them and how are they if you do?I don't keep them generally. I might take one brown or steelhead per year for the eggs, if I do I'll put the fish in the smoker. Smoked is the only way I like trout or salmon, they're just too soft and fishy for my liking. Basically just get a quick photo and release!Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

chrisw
Are you tipping the jigs and is there a hot color?White Marabou jigs with a pink or green head are always killer. Anything 1/8 Oz and smaller, the smaller sizes have been treating us well lately. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
