A beautiful morning here. Heading over to Kennebunkport and Porpoise Harbor fishing peir today. 

Have had a ton of stuff going on lately. But the sound of the waves, washes everything away. And puts me in a peaceful place. 

My batteries are charging.

We've been discussing doing a long weekend trip to Maine in late summer. Looks great! Enjoy!

Love Maine, old orchard is where we go. Always nice to hit kittery or cabelas.

I’ve been yearning for a trip, no vacation till the first two weeks of November. Apparently no one hunts at my job, 32 out of @40 guys and the entire fall was open for picks!

We might go but have to wait to see how school is going for both kids next fall because we would have to pull them out.

Golden Road gets pounded, if you go look further out or find areas that can’t be driven around. Everyone from every where drives logging roads looking for tracks. I saw more hunters there than I have here in NY lol

These are from Porpoise Harbor looking out to Goat Island lighthouse. This is a working fishing peir. And the plaques show some history and the dangers these guys face when they go out.Love the name of this lobster boat.Had lunch in Peir 77.Some rocks and waves.To Kittery Trading Post tomorrow. Then inland to Lake Sabago on Wednesday.

Your going to love Kittery  trading post. The wife and I dropped $300 in no time. 3 floors of outdoor awesomeness.

Been there a few times. Always drop a few bucks in there too! Always tell my wife "it's a really good deal"!!!.......grin

Did Kittery today. Did pick up some Carbon Express Piledrivers for the crossbows and some lighted nocks. 

I've eaten lobster in some form every day so far. Think I've gained a few pounds???...lo But enjoying every minute up here with Mrs grampy.

Nubble Lighthouse at dusk. (Sorry for the crappy phone pic's.)Surf was up too. We changed plans. Going up to Portland tomorrow instead of Lake Sabago.

This time up here, has been just what I needed.

Off to a fishing adventure with Dinsdale on Saturday. The fun keeps going!

went deep sea fishing in Maine once when i was about 10.  Before we went out the Capt was going over everything and then told us that "Cod and Shocks are biting it right now"  .  So i am asking people ....what the hell is a "shock"?  is that like an electric eel or something???  one guy goes- hes saying "Shark" its not "Shock" .  Oh okay....lol.  And i caught one that day too!  Then went and ate Lobsta !

Last night in Maine. We head home tomorrow. But Mrs grampy added a couple more lighthouses to her list.One more awesome seafood dinner at our favorite place, Mikes Clam Shack.With a Crown and Coke to call it a night.Batteries charged. See you all back in NY!

Looks like a great trip! I remember butchering a beautiful golf course in Lake Sabago years back lol.

 

I eat so much lobsta when I'm in Maine!! And usually bring a cooler full home!!
