I found these at a sale today and I thought some of you might find them interesting.

I'm too young to remember them. But, the gentlemen that taught me to hunt had a very very large collection of the buttons. He donated them to the DEC in Albany around 1979.

I believe these were worn before backtags yes. These have a pin on the back like most buttons so they must have been pinned to clothing or a hat possibly.

I have a few that were my dad's I have them on the wall in my reloading room/man cave pinned to a piece of cloth on the wall.

Some individual pins/buttons are very rare and collectable. You can sell/snag on EBay all you want!

I saw these and thought they would be cool for the man cave, but the prices people want on them go over $20 for ones pre-1935. I said forget that. They go on ebay for good money if anyone wants to sell some.

I have and old field n stream with an advertisement on the back that says PROTECT YOUR SMALL GAME !!! SHOOT ALL STRAY CATS!!! its from the late 30's i believe not very politically correct i'm afraid but mostly true.... makes for great conversation when friends see it.....
