2020 Lawn Thread!

Just got done mowing no picture of the front lawn but this is both sides and back lawn.   In the last picture in the center the taller grass is actually a wild flowers garden. In about a month it will all be bloomed.  Just to the right is my veggie garden.

I was not planning on mulching yesterday but a landscaper friend dumped a couple yards in my driveway and ruined everything lol

Last month had snow on the ground. This month the grass is so dried up it's crunchy.  Hasn't rained here according to the news in 15 days.

Skipped all of my 26 lawns this week except for two that have irrigation.   Too dam dry.

seems like there are a lot for brown lawns. Just saw one town with a watering restriction, there may be more. MMy farmer friends are hoping for rain for crops and hay. But this is great for the young broods of turkey.

Ya'll need some rain up there? We seem to have plenty. So far, about 44" YTD. We had over 78" last year!

Seems like literally zero rain here in last 30-35 days. I hadn’t watered my grass in years. I had to water it 2 hours a day for past 3 days to get it decent for Father’s Day party today

Well here it is. Anyone know of a guy that does final grading and seeding in the Buffalo area. I won’t be doing it until the fall. I have one guy coming to give me a estimate but wouldn’t hurt to get a couple.

Call Pete at Affordable Lawn Care.  He's located in Dale, but operates around the Buffalo area.  I had septic work done and he is doing my grading and seeding in a few weeks. He came in 20% cheaper than the others and includes more in his service.  He came pretty highly recommended.

July 9th cut. Not too bad considering we were in a serious drought. I been focusing on veggie garden and only watered the lawn 2 days before Father’s Day party for the entire. The worst my lawn has looked since i bought the house in 2015 but it Could be way worse. With more rain tomorrow, it should fully recover

Yea Honda engines are the best for mowers IMO. Regardless of mower brand, I always go for Honda engine over B&S

Final cut!!!!!!! The corn hole tourneys have taken a toll on an already weak lawn!!!



Look what happens when Biz get a new outdoor hobby (garden) last lawn cut was 7-10.
Personally I like the “garden Biz” better than the “lawn biz!”

9/13 Cut. Lawn bouncing back after the brutal hot/drought summer. Tomorrow The pool will be closed and it’s time to focus on deer!

This is definitely one of the driest years i can remember.  Been cutting most clients lawns every other week.

Mine sucked this year.  No time to properly care for it.  So I decided to hire a company for weed and feed next year.  But it is bouncing back.  Just had it aerated and overseeded.

The lawns doing OK despite very little attention this year.  Next up will be dealing with the neighbors f’n leaves.
