Took my son on a mission to get him his first steelhead on the fly. We succeeded. He brought both of these fish to the bank. Awesome afternoon and the kid walked a couple miles and never complained.

@treeguy took me and my nephew out for kings and as usual, he got on fish! It was a rough start but once we got on them it was fast and furious. We landed four and lost one at the net. What an awesome

Was that a double?!!
Great pics- it always amazes me that trout can find those little nymphs with seemingly so little on them and yet they hit certain ones and avoid others like the plague.

Yes it was! I love stream trout, the fish are small but they live in that fascinating little environment

I 'm making the most of being laid off and pretty much celebrating each day during this time.  I explored another section of stream for most of the day yesterday and caught 8 browns between 10 and 15 inches.  Two of the bigger fish really had me grinnin' as the fought hard and jumped several times. I was drifting garden worms on ultra light again.

Had a cold beer and some venison slim sticks for lunch basking in the warm sun.  A memorable day.
