New pup in the (extended) family

Our youngest daughter and family just got a new pup to grow up with our little granddaughter. Meet Beau, a nine week old Springer Spaniel that we had the pleasure of babysitting this past weekend along with our sweet granddaughter.

He's an awesome little pup, but he likes to start his day around 2:30-3:00 am. Starts to whine which makes our dog bark. Needless to say I'd didn't get much sleep this past weekend! He's a loveable little guy, but OMG, what a play-biter, I need a week to let my hands and arms heal. He'll be a regular at the house during the opening week of rifle season, and I imagine just a bit bigger by then.

Love a new pup until its up 3 times a night to go potty and you have to work the next morning .

Wife wanted to go look at litter of gsp. I said no ... lets get ruger to his first  birthday.

I love springers, Jerry.. Had 3 of them over the years, all male, all liver&white....

The second one flushed and retrieved a limit of woodcock( 5 at that time)  for me including one water retrieve when he was six months old....Great dogs...

Beau rides along when our daughter takes her daughter to pre-school. Today he jumped in first and waited. Guess he wants the car seat once in a while. He’s such a good natured boy!
