I walked in the house about 20mins ago and the wife complained that I smelled like cigars..LOL! I stopped by the cigar shop today, just to say hello to a few guys and wish them happy Easter (its a local hang out) but I couldn't resist. I had a nice Punch Robusto….. Happy Easter!!3 points

Damn it, I just typed out a long winded response and hit the back button and lost the entire post. So......yes, I smoke a stogie or two. Bad habit I know!! I started MANY years ago......when I was about 14 or 15 IIRC. I would swing the big hammer to ring the bell at the local carnivals. 3 swings for a buck and win a cheap smoke. Great start on a lousy habit............................. These days its just a Garcia Vega Crystal or similar usually. If a high end smoke is passed my way I'll happily oblige though. In the house? Ever hear of Lorena Bobbit? That's what'd happen to the unit......................3 points

I spend many nights out back sitting in a lawn chair and just look at the sky with a good cigar. Its very relaxing.........And if not disturbed i could stay out there for a good 2 or 3 hours..2 points

We had a great week. Just got back from camp today. My son got a nice one on his first cast. Fishing was good on Wednesday and Thursday morning, but turned into a washout after that. The warm weather and rain turned the creek too muddy until yesterday.2 points

Easter dinner yesterday, buttermilk pancakes this morning with farm fresh maple syrup right out of the boiler with left over bacon that wasn't used in the sap, and another Easter dinner with ham and all the trimmings today. Unbuckle the belt one hole.2 points

For me it more of liking the rifle then needing the caliber. I have my eye on a sweet 700 lefty. .270cal wood stock and blued steel. Gorgeous rifle and it shoulders great. I already have a 30-06, 25-06 and a 7mm-08…..But I might just add a 270 because I really like the rifle.2 points

I hinge cut them back in January. The deer fed on them pretty good until the deep snow pushed them off the hill. I plan on doing more hinge cutting when the snow melts down. A good 18" to 24" of snow up there right now. I received 6 apple trees on 4/4 and no where to plant them yet. Snow and frozen ground.1 point

Picked up the grandkids in Honeoye Falls and took them to church in Mendon . The church was packed probably due a lot of folks that go on Easter and Christmas . Had a real nice ham dinner with some delicious sides . Saw over 20 deer on route 42 on the way home . Also saw a bunch while driving to church this am . Glad the snow didn't stick .1 point

Exactly. I'd rather wait until I can enjoy it than to just smoke one and rush.1 point

I get that , to me a cigar can't be rushed. A chair , camp fire, my dog , some whiskey at my hut in a farm field is perfect. I can't smoke one while doing something . Golf , fishing and so on.1 point

Being a diabetic, I've had them for years now. You never get used to them just accept them after awhile. My Doc says they are no big deal. Easy for him to say! They don't bother my shooting, bow or gun. Or my vision, just an annoyance that is more noticeable at times than others.1 point

Had them for 50 years they come and go , Have no problem with them.My eye glass Dr. said not worth doing anything.1 point

I smoke them. I always say that our hot tub is my most expensive cigar accessory ! I would say I try to smoke one at work when on nights ( fireman) but that's against rules and regs.1 point

No snow sticking here.......just flurries in the air, cool and damp. Another dingy day.......... On the bright side, I just cracked a beer. We are having 12 here today for the ham feast. My sister and brother and their respected families bring a dish to pass. I bought some Riesling, Molson and Southern Tier Brewery beer "Live". Oh and some Black Box Malbec if someone wants. The Southern Tier is uncharted waters so I figured I crack one to wash down the Reese's Egg and turkey sandwich.......dinner is at 6pm. Casserole's are GTG, rolls, butter lamb etc. are all set. House is cleaner than it has been since Thanksgiving (yea, we host that one too) and the dog is brushed. Kids are working until 2pm and 4pm. That's all for now, have a good time. Happiest of Easter's to you all!1 point

Really Easter? I'm thinking it's more like Christmas out there...actually we have more snow and colder temps than Christmas. We have a good 2 inches and it's snowing hard..big fluffy flakes.. Drive careful today..1 point

That's awesome! Hockey is the best live sport in my opinion. I took my girls to their first Yankee game last summer, 13 scoreless innings. Not exactly exciting for kids1 point

Who was talking about the KXL? Our Pres. doesn't want ANY pipeline... nor do any liberals... so your comment is quite expected. So, again, it looks like they need to build a pipeline... and if it helps you keep up the liberal argument, yes, the KXL too.1 point

One thing to consider when a youngster is starting out is the fact that they could accidentally have their finger on the trigger while they are drawing the bow. This could result in an arrow striking someone, or something. Or, their hand and release could strike themselves in the face. Pretty easy to transition to a release later on.1 point

Just getting my hunt planning finished for this fall and wanted to give everyone some eye candy! 6 of us hunted Western Alaska and came out with 3 nice bulls, a black wolf and a monster of a griz. Hope after this you are as excited as I am about the rut being one month closer! Enjoy! -JR1 point

jjb - I don't believe the woman was evil - just tragically ignorant. Giving issues such as this attention counters such public ignorance.1 point

I hope this picture comes out okay, my first attempt here. These heads I forged myself, they are spade shaped and sharpened all the way around. Mounted on wood from an ash tree that I sacrificed for this purpose. Robby1 point

I love late season squirrel hunting. It can be great action when it's not too freezing cold. I got these late in the day on Sunday, within 10 minutes of eachother. Two of them were small, 2nd from the left was a normal sized one, & the one on the far left was a monster! I get really into hunting them. It's nice to get out and hunt something that isn't so serious. There's no racks, no passing little ones, no measure of success other than a crockpot full of stew. It's just hunting.1 point
