So I have decided to go on a journey and start to eat better. I know this is something many do and sometimes struggle to find healthy food that tastes good. I will chronicle some of my meals here and updated on my progress as well. Tonight was the start and I’ll see how it goes. Half roasted chicken with quinoa broccoli and asparagus. I make a simple sauce of lemon juice, salt and pepper to go over the top Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk7 points

It blew the condom off? Are you SURE it's loaded? Pull the breech plug and dump out whatever is in there then push the bullet out backwards...... Bullet and no powder? What does your witness mark tell you?6 points

I always thought shooting downward eliminated concern but I learned that bullets bounce and ricochet like you wouldn’t believe, even when shooting downward. Just an FYI. its actually part of military training for shooters to understand how crazy bullets react. Not criticizing. I was surprised myself.4 points

Got invited to go out on Champlain to troll for salmon and lakers. Went out 7:30-2:30. Really nice day. The wind died down, we caught fish and grilled bacon wrapped scallops and venison kabobs. Also had homemade cookies and a couple beverages. 15 lakers. Biggest one was about 8lbs. Caught a bunch of nice sized eaters, but didn't keep any. I need to get a smoker set up. 7 salmon. Mostly shakers, but I reeled in fish of the day. 24+" female. She stayed down and never jumped. Released her. Also a couple white perch. The guy who owns the boat took all the pictures. He hasn't sent them to me yet. Good day all in all. His boat is set up with great electronics and a full canvas. It's a true trolling boat with a huge back deck. Hoping to get invited to go again! Heck of a nice day on Champlain!4 points

Lets go to two masks with gloves and goggles. Whats the big deal?? Its goddamned ridiculous to think a loose fitting paper or cloth mask stops a virus and its time to knock it off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro2 points

Last sit of the year for me, until coyote season! Unless a monster swamp donkey comes along I'll just be chilling . Been a good year, maybe overall my best. Sitting in a swamp that's in the Lee of some pines. Don't show up big boy!2 points

No doubt what doesn't kill you can make you stronger. The sterile environment argument has some real merit IMHO. All that sanitizing crap kills the good, commensal bacteria along with the bad. But my biggest fear isn't something that we can perceive...it's the truck you don't see that leaves you like road-kill. I think that modern society relies heavily on manufactured goods that often involve chemicals nature never intended. Exposure to these things has the potential to impact the way our genome interacts with the environment, and these effects can persist for generations to come. For example, I've developed an alcohol allergy as I've gotten older. Two drinks and I'm suffering a hangover before I'm even drunk. Crazy thing is, I have four friends now that have the same thing. The NIH has now made studying how we acquire emerging age-dependent allergies a focus - some of the stuff we've done to ourselves in the name of progress is horrifying (like having an alcohol allergy lol).2 points

The answer is full is too long to type out. Longer than this reply. Essentially, the founder of that company sold it and the patents. Now he and his son run another company called Lone Wolf Custom Gear. The writing on the wall for Lone Wolf (the company that was sold) was clear because patents expired and the re-engagement of the founder into the business field pretty much forced a fate. I suggest you read carefully at who you support in the cast stand section if you are buying one. It's a hot mess IMO. There are several manufacturers, like LWCG, Novix, Hunting Beast/Infalt, and others. The drama is probably second to treestand diapers/saddle hunting companies, ha.2 points

News Report: 'Holiday Deer Hunt' starts Dec. 26; offers extra week of hunting - WENY News Despite the extra week now added to the hunting season, the NYSDEC is not expecting a substantial deer harvest during this period. The late bow and muzzle loader season only accounts for 8 percent of the total deer harvest numbers each year.2 points

I once passed on a really nice buck the final day of ML because he was skylined against a road and I literally saw a school bus go by. Now some would say I couldnt hit a schoolbus and thats fair but I wasnt risking it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro2 points

Although its somewhat germane to the subject, this reminded me of my East Aurora spot. I couldn't even begin to count the deer I've had to pass up due to them being skylined. I'm hamstrung by the small area I have to hunt or I'd do things different. Alas, it is what it is and many get the pass................safety is #12 points

Got skunked today and tonight for catfish on lake Marion from my rented lake house dock. Fun just drinking and relaxing even if I don't catch anything. Tomorrow is a new day. Maybe my kids will at least get a bit.2 points

I misspoke in my opening post; the bracket has nothing to do with Elite bows. It's to facilitate the mounting of the quiver to a bow that is using an HHA type sight with the sliding single pin.2 points

Heard lots of shots in my area of northern Columbia county (4u). My nephew missed a spike, twice. Said he was shaking too bad. He took a small doe later in the morning, and seen a dozen or more deer on the neighbors property thats off limits. Walking in yesterday morning a few minutes after legal , I see several deer about 100yrds out running around. Binoculars showed two smaller bucks chasing a doe. They were in and out of the field several times before they ran into the scrub for good. Had a BB walk past 3 times with his nose to the ground grunting trying to figure out where those deer went to. Buddy across the road had 10 does, fawns in the thick stuff. Only deer he could get a clear shot on was a spike, which he passed. Afternoon hunt I went in the same blind and had several does, fawns and a spike milling around in the brush. Took this doe with one ear and half a tail.2 points

Took my nephew on a charter a few months ago and he caught a bonito. I saved the tail, dried it and mounted it to a puck since he’s obsessed with hockey. He doesn’t know about it and I’ll give it to him on Christmas.2 points

I’m with you 100%. I didn’t think that the death of the big horsepower V8s would happen in my lifetime, but here we are. It’s sad. I’m just happy to have the chance to own one of the baddest muscle cars ever to hit the street. I’m sure whatever Dodge puts out will be cool. I’ve heard rumors of a twin turbo inline 6, which could be insane paired up with a hybrid system in a lighter weight car. Also rumors of everything new being all electric. Who knows at this point.1 point
