Since we were hosting for Mother's day, I asked my wife what she and her mother wanted for dinner. They came up with my Beef Wellington! I have made it a bunch of times for Christmas dinner, but it is still a daunting task. Very stressful, but came out awesome! Side of steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes, but the pictures show the main event!7 points

So very proud of him, when he started there were 146 nursing students and only 54 graduated tonight . Now he has to pass his NCLEX to officially become a nurse and when he does he has a job waiting for him. Alfred’s program is the only nursing program in the country that has a 89% pass rate on the NCLEX.They are also known as one of the most difficult and demanding programs around. He did all this while being the nursing programs president from his sophomore year. Thanks for letting me brag a little on my boy, I figured there’s enough dads on here that would understand..6 points

Never heard of using a crockpot. Marinate in oj , Italian dressing and dash of crushed red pepper. Wrap in bacon. Smoke or oven. Can dice breast into bite sized pieces do same way and add a dallop of cream cheese before wrapping the nuggets in the bacon. You’ll thank me later5 points

Holy crap. I meant no offense to lovers of bacon and cheese. Bacon and cheese are two of my favorite food groups. Too bad that thread about coyote dens died.4 points
-
I dont use bacon to hide the flavor, I do it to keep the meat moist due to the lack of fat. Plus the flavors go well together. Stuffing it with cheese is optional, I just like cheese.4 points

Got one fired up on my way out this morning at 11:32. Answered to my clucks and cutting but was one ridge over from me and not coming any closer. Put a move on him to his ridge but ran out of time so I let him go silent and slipped out at 11:57. That was the first gobbling I've hear all season. Will give him another shot tomorrow since he's the only one that seems to want to play around here.3 points

Congratulations Rob-C!! My niece worked her butt off to become an RN. Now she works 30 hours per week as a nurse, 15 hours per week teaching nursing students, and about 20 hours per week doing school work to become an MD. She's driven and we're all very proud of her.3 points

Happy mother’s day to me!! Cheated a bunch by starting them in the oven and finishing on the grill but the homemade BBQ sauce made them pretty yummy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Good to see you getting back out to reload the cams with batteries and cards my friend. Good stuff!2 points

I threw our turkey carcasses down in the creekbottom and covered them with sand 2 feet in front of the cam. I was tempted at first to drop them off at the fox den for the pups, but thought twice about it fearing any leftovers might attract some other toothy predators and things might not shake out so well for them. This red fox (as well as another with a bald rat tail) worked all through the night to finally claim her prize before the competition arrived on the scene the next morning. Always feels good to look back and know I made the right call when it comes to interfering with nature. This was nowhere's near my fox den, but I have a feeling the results would have been the same if I had placed the carcasses there. The carcasses were CRAWLING with maggots the day before these vids were taken. I guess that just adds protein to the meal!2 points

Isn’t breading it and frying it Doctoring it up? Sounds good though. All the ideas are good, I don’t eat much bacon so I don’t think I would do that.2 points

NY ostrich are a bit darker in color. The confusion is understandable.2 points

I haven’t found that you need to doctor up the breast with bacon or anything else. I like to slice it thin and then bread it and fry it like chicken cutlets. Comes out great.2 points

I would hinge cut on the edges of the plot. Lay the trees down in a feathering pattern and use that to direct the deer to enter and exit the plot where you want them to. Kinda like a fence.2 points

So your saying you want us to be Nazi babysitters and shut down every thread that goes off topic? Ban people for having a bad day? Moderators arent allowed to do anything but moderate? Weve heard all of those suggestions before. Not happening.2 points

Hinge or Tip some trees over on the edge .. make a nice Clover plot. maybe a little oats or wheat mixed in2 points

Its just a media/ publicity position...Just like Charlton Heston and his, "cold dead hands" deal.....CEO is where the power is in the NRA and LaPierre ain't gonna give up his millions in pay and benefits. The former president was a businessman, and unless you bought from Brownells and connected the name, I'd doubt most members here even know Brownells as they cater to gunsmithing/parts and not hunting. They had been trying to get Tom Selleck for years to take a position, but he turned them down and re kindled his acting career.2 points

Didn't catch a lot but a nice afternoon on the lake. Caught a couple of too small eyes and some perch. Wind was squirrelly . East then south then east and before we left south west. But a nice day and a happy pup to get on the lake for first time this year.2 points

Jesus Christ could be installed as the President of the NRA and it would make zero difference to the anti gun moguls, they will stick it to anyone that has "any" affiliation. I like North and will support him because he supports me, he is a Marine and knows how to fight the fight!2 points

Go granola , buy some Birkenstocks, a Jerga and a few Phish albums and light patchouli incense in the house the skunkyness of some dank weed will also help cover it up2 points
