  3. That’s my grilled seafood entree Appetizers were meatballs in spicy tomato sauce over polenta, sautéed calamari with olives and a diavola pizza (hot sopressatta) Others had grilled salmon with Brussels sprout, short ribs and veal scarpiello. 4. Hey tacks,i went to the spot you suggested today. Beautiful. I tied a double nymph rig on and added some strike putty and weight and got that tangled right away. First caught it on a rock, then when it pulled loose in a tree branch. But i was not getting discouraged. Two guys fished above me,but they were the impatient type. I got brave and waded close to a slow slot that had to have fish in it,and i was right. Caught a 11 " brown, and then a little later his bigger brother out of the same slot,a 15" one. They fight good in the current. Then i went downstream hitting some more plunge pools. Caught and lost a few more. Great day on the water, thanks for the tip! This forum is great!

  12. I don’t visit here as often as I used to but I ran across this and figured I would put in my two cents. #1 Get rid of the straps and use screw in mounts. Straps will carry more scent, longer. Use ground post stakes if no trees. #2 Cam shells can and do hold scent but mostly from the manufacturing process. Most cams are hit with a release agent from the casting mold. That agent is made of fish oil. This is one of the reasons why bears destroy cams. #3 Cam noise and sight cause way more issues than human scent on the camera in my opinion. You see a lot of deer sniffing cams but it’s often a secondary confirmation as to whether the cam is a threat or just plain old curiosity. It’s already been seen and or heard by the deer and they walk up to sniff. #4 High mounting can help. It reduces cam efficiency in my experience (the trigger zones are made for horizontal setting). #5 Spend more time thinking about and setting the cam in the right spot than scent control. Your intrusion is what it is. Setting the cam in the right spot likely minimizes the impact of the intrusion - if you really think about it. See picture for one example. 16. In typical fashion Storm doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. A simple stroll though any online system like Indeed, Career builder and Zip Recruiter will show he is wrong. A Union Welder may have a total package that approaches that but it certainly isn't their wage. The pipe welder is incidental to the pipe fitting and paid at the pipe fitting rate. The prevailing/Union rate is the highest scale in an area and I'd bet it's under $60 an hour.

  17. There are some places in NY where you can find them in good numbers. Tongue Mt. outside of Lake George is just one. A few places in the Catskills too. We have a den site for timbers on the farm property. Been there for as long as I remember. In the spring and fall, you can usually find a couple there. We leave it alone, and don't bother them. The exact location we keep to ourselves. Only three times in over 50 years have we seen one outside of that spot. Copperheads are a bit more common, but very rarely seen too. This is in Albany County. I learned a lot about venomous snakes when I lived in SC and Fl. in my younger days.

  18. We never measured a single fishes length We quick weigh the bigger ones and quick release not to stress them. Don't need lengths when great digital scale weighs to tenth of an ounce But to appease you I'll measure some next time out 1/4 ounce jig heads and you're going to hang up on the bottom all day long/ break off/retye and be out of the game while doing it. 1/8 gets you on the bottom on windier days and if it's too windy for 1/8 we shouldn't be out there on a bass boat

  25. So I get up there. I find out Red Squirrels are living in the eve of the cabin. I shoot one of the adults Saturday morning. Closed up the hole but left open a small area for the other one to come out of. Sunday morning I see it leave so I screwed it shut. Mistake #1 she had young ones in there and came back during the day and got back in by making a new hole in the eve . I made sure they had a way out before I left I guess there are young ones up there? I Will they come back? Did see an all white coyote along rt 21 near Hornell. It was really cool. Just did so much damn work it was amazing I stayed awake on the drive home!

  32. String material now is nothing short of amazing. Theres barely even a "shoot in" period for peep alignment. They just stay where you put them once you have it right. Ive bought strings from at least four builders in the past couple years and they are all the same, excellent. IMO if youre spending more than $80 on a set of strings and cables youre wasting money

  37. Good to hear! I anchored on the north side of snake hill last Sunday with my girl friend and another couple for a relaxing afternoon. I through out 2 rods with nite crawlers on bottom straight down in 20fow and caught 14 large mouth and 3 small mouths in a few hours. Was very surprised the LM’s were that deep. Good luck hope you hammer them!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Premium Economy MINUS is where they do the same, except they leave out the diver's suit and give you a polyester speedo and a snorkel that smells like Rosie O'Donnel's gym shorts...

  46. Whatever works for you, My Friend Definitely an excellent chambering ...I kind of like different chamberings myself, like my 9.3 x 62.... The .325 fits nicely between a couple of other very popular calibers, the .300 Win mag and the .338 Win mag.. Any of the three will handle any big game on the North American continent...

  48. Been practicing some staking and still hunting no weapons of course. It's a little hard around here to track one deer.Yesterday i got on one big and one small set of tracks there was no mistaking the freshness of them.I followed them for a few hundred yards then i saw the fawn got a little closer and saw the mama made it to about 75yrds when all hell broke loose there was about 6-8 more deer bed down in front of them.Went over and checked out the beds.Started shed hunting again found a giant track looked like it was made in the morning started following it which was rough but i'm pretty sure i stead on the same tracks about an hour of tracking and looking a head BINGO locked eyes with a buck laying under a tree, vine nest PING he was gone.He didn't have his antlers but i could see where they where. My heart was pounding so hard i thought it was going to explode.I haven't had that "buck fever" feeling in years.Intense even if i had a gun i couldn't get a shot off.Did a bunch of little circles around there looking for his sheds nothing. this is a pic of where he was.The little white paper looking thing is the bed.the second pic is the bed with hair in it.
