Hows everyone faring out there?

We recieved 5" of fluffy snow so far...people are able to drive up the hill in their cars so the plows have been through...even though all schools are closed...waiting on the rest to come through...suppose to be heavier snow....just a light snow now...

Might get up to 12" here on this side of the hill. Going to stay cold enough to keep it fluffy. Everything closed here also.

Just looked at the weather map and the whole state is covered with snow coming down.

Not bad at all. Hard to tell what we got on the level. Roads plowed but slippery. Schools all closed. I did plow out the driveway with drifts half way up the front tires of the 4wd. That wind is nasty.

Uncured bacon is in the oven browning up nicely...home fries going on the stove...poached eggs and toast with a side of fruit...Mr B is taking a work at home snow day....Gym can wait until tomorrow I'll work at home as well...good day to order seed. and find tree supplier.

Can't wait for fresh pork. Ours isn't back from the butcher yet. Traded 2 nice 250 lbers. for 100 bales of hay, LOL.

Like to throw some in with the maple sap, as it steams.

8" here at the airport.......drifts though over the top of the snow blower. 

 

I did my driveway, my neighbors and about 350' of sidewalk.  

 

Still snowing pretty good too.

A couple of minor repairs and gassed up the old plow truck and snow blower yesterday. Put in a good supply of wood. Pancakes and bacon with local maple syrup for breakfast. Schools all closed, so no work today. Close to a foot of light fluffy snow has fallen to this point. Supposed to get about two feet up here in the hills. Will go out today to shovel, snowblow and plow. Windchills way below zero the next couple nights. Yeah...just another winter day in New York.

shoveled out 10-12 inches of white stuff. At least the driveway is only 40 feet long.

Must have about 8 -10" so far with a lot of wind.  There is about a 3 ft. drift running along the entire drivers side of my truck. Heading out now to play in it.

I'd say we have right around a foot on the level, but the drifts are alot more. Heavy snow with a 10 degree air temp. Wind is shifting around into the north and darn right fridged. Drive has another foot of snow in it, since 6:30. Common Phil!

We only have a few inches on the Island where I am but it is wet and now starting to freeze.  Shoveled out this morning and it was heavy!  Hope the power stays on as the wires are starting to freeze over.  Stay safe everyone!

We have a solid 14" as of 6-7 this a.m. in the driveway SSW of Roc. I'm sure some of it is windblown, but still snow that needs to be moved.

I had 8 or more inches in the driveway at 4am when I got up to plow. Had about an inch of additional by the time I left for work around 5:30. Im lucky in that I dont get much drifting at my place.

It is a lot wetter and heavier than the last snow we had.

 

The Mermaid and I just finished digging out .Still some light stuff coming down, but I hope that most of it is past us now.

 

I have some walleye filets ( the last package from last summer) thawing out for supper.

I have grown to hate these days for work reasons. About 1/3 of my department is out for the various related excuses.

 

Some are legit, but a big degree of the pussification of America is in effect.

Well both of us have been working this snow since we ate breakfast this morning...it's been snowing steady and Mr B...has been on the tractor and I with the shovel doing what he can't get to and the roofs...boat...gator ..my car had a 2 ft drift on the trunk and across the street the boat had 2 ft...the snow over there is now past my knees...he plowed me a path to get to the barn and boat...winds are picking up the road has 2 " on it and they came through not long ago..no mail yet....We now have mountains of snow every where...lol...Mr B came in for a second because his eye lashes froze together...it's cold! I'm in now back and knees said no more!! Be safe out there
