2015 Mount Done...

I've been wanted to try my hand at taxidermy for a while now.  A friend of mine helped me mount the buck I killed on 10/2 and I'm pretty happy with the results. I still have a little touching up to do and the cape isn't fully dried yet...

my first buck was shot on October 15 and I had it back by opening day of gun. That was 18 years ago the mount still looks great. I think If the taxi does it himself it isn't that long a process but when they send them out its months

About $125, but he had all of the equipment and chemicals...

The cape was wet tanned in house which takes about 4 days to pickle-neutralize-tan. The actual mounting process after the cape was prepared only took about 2.5 hours.

Awesome job! You should be proud to have done such great work. I know I would have no problem paying for that quality in a mount.
