turkeyfeathers
Ya , no thanks. Anything is edible but I'll pass on a few things like this including opossum , mergansers , deer brains , mountain oysters and a few other things. Lawdwaz
I ate (and I hope like hell the statute of limitations has expired) bluejay once when I was probably 12. It was breasted and cooked over an open fire. It sucked......

moog5050
Cant be that bad. I once ate these while on a trip to a remote village on the Urocoa in Venezuela. I didn't have the courage to eat them raw, but cooked, they really weren't bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mw0JNAArrRA

I shot a bunch of pigeons once, when I was a kid. We bbq'd them on a wood fire. I thought they were good.

BigRed44
Had crow once at a wild game dinner at a rod and gun club. It was done in a crock pot like chicken wing dip... couldn't tell the difference.
kpkot
I as well had crow at a game dinner. It was not as enjoyable as big reds experience. Very dark meat and tough.

ants
The last game dinner I went to, I looked into the kitchen and saw how the bearded, sweaty, spit cup carrying "Cooks" were handling the game that was to be cooked. I stuck with the hamburgers and hot dogs that an old lady was cooking on an outdoor grill, for the kids. .The beer was good though..
Critter4321
I know what you mean about the cooks I have seen some rough ones at the game dinners but at least they keep the beer cold

Doc
The last time I saw a crow picking away at a maggot infested purple, runny, oozing, hairless, stinking, deer carcass, I kind of made a promise that that was one critter that I will not be eating.

Paula
Cant be that bad. I once ate these while on a trip to a remote village on the Urocoa in Venezuela. I didn't have the courage to eat them raw, but cooked, they really weren't bad. That is disgusting. I seen on Andrew Zimmerman where ever he was that they put them in water to work out bad flavor stuff. They then grilled an poked them to help with the crispness
Pygmy
I've eaten crow many times....FIGURATIVELY, not literally...<<grin>>... However I would try it....Lord knows, I've killed enough of them. I have eaten snapping turtles and catfish and they eat some pretty rotten stuff sometimes. I have eaten barn pigeon many times and thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact every time I eat it I wonder why I don't hunt them more often.
First-light
I sparrows and marinated spearing once. A greek friend made this and it was pretty good. The sparrows were eating from his olive tree and he had to do something about it! lol
papabear
Meet some guys from Louisiana they made crow about five different ways one night one of them was in a large pot kinds of like a stew that was good also on the BBQ i ate the other three were really bad but they seem to like it
moog5050
That is disgusting. I seen on Andrew Zimmerman where ever he was that they put them in water to work out bad flavor stuff. They then grilled an poked them to help with the crispness The kids ate them raw, but more so to see our reaction I think. The grubs were not nearly as bad as the "fruit drink" they drank or the river water they drank without cleaning. I would have been sick for months if I tried that.
dbHunterNY
even the worms I feel like I'd try but it has more to do with what they're eating. sorry but crow sounds disgusting, because around here all i see them eating is a dead rotting carcass. to me it'd be no different than eating a turkey vulture / buzzard. chrisw
I think pigeon is awesome! Not sure I would eat a city pigeon that's been eating bubblegum and pizza crust off the sidewalk but farm pigeons are great. Fun to shoot, no seasons, farmers typically don't like them, taste great. What's not to love!? Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
