Gloves

How many of you guys wear gloves while bowhunting? I've always avoided wearing a glove on the same hand I wear a release in fear it will effect my POI, but getting cold hands in November can get old real fast. I was thinking f getting some nice wool fingerless gloves so I don't loose the feel of anything.

No gloves for me while bowhunting 98% of the time, hand warmers ALWAYS though when I have the need.

I'll use gloves to walk to and from the stand and also while climbing but I shoot WAY better without them.  YMMV

i do and a face mask too I HATE paint plus it rubs off lite ones early season and a little heavier later on plus with the hand wamers

I have a pair like these with the Velcro opening for a release to fit through. Very thin and not much for warmth. When it gets cold it's hand warmers and pockets and maybe I get cold for the important parts. I never wear heavy gloves while hunting unless it's sub zero.

I wear slip on mechanics gloves that I get for free. Never had a problem hunting with them. I would never in a million years wear gloves with Velcro bow hunting.

I'm a jerk. I tend buy nice lighter weight ones and then cut the end of the index finger and thumb off on it. Thats for compound.This season I got these mechanic wear leather ones. I'm going to try them with the recurve and leaving them intact versus gloveless with shooting glove on release hand.

I wear gloves even in warm weather for purposes of camo.

I just use a set of Jersey type gloves and a hand warmer when it gets colder.I use them all year.If it get cold enough I have a hand warming muff.My hands don't get cold anymore and when I wore "good" gloves my hands would freeze!!!

I'm on a never ending quest to find a good, thin pair of gloves that are waterproof and breathable. I do wear a glove on my bow hand

I only use a light weight glove on the hand i hold bow .  Release hand sits in a pocket lined with toe warmers. Gun season is mechanic gloves tend to hold up better for most of the stuff i walk through.

Yep for camo and warmth, roll up cuff of release hand .

Lightweight under armour
armour gloves are the best...buy them early and practice before the season. Also ditched any release with a wrist strap...to much bulk and not needed.

I have like 4 or 5 light weight gloves including UA, but  I only ever wear them on the hand I hold my bow with. As far as a wrist strap for my release, I haven't really had the need to change to a thumb release so why change whats not broken.

I think the idea is to have gloves that are big enough to easily pull off when the deer first comes into sight. It is rarely so cold that I cannot be bare handed for a few minutes while the deer gets into range.

I don't wear gloves while bow hunting . Come to think of it , I don't wear them while gun hunting either . I have a nice pair of Scent Lock gloves somewhere in the house that I havn't used in years . No idea where they are .

I wear very light gloves for bow hunting. Gun hunting I usually don't wear any at all or just the same thin ones.

Wear gloves on the way in and the way out. In the stand never wear them .  Muff and hand warmers when needed.   Im about as useful as a monkey humping a football with gloves on! Plus my hands still get cold in gloves.
