This buck was found dead, I photographed it. 

He is/was a real tall racked buck. Worm food now........:(

Wow! He was a nice one. While watching bucks fight, I've often wondered how they don't "put their eye out" with those racks.

Sad way to go, I imagine he suffered for a while and succumbed to infection.

Funny thing is that is was probably a cousin of his or brother.  Similar G 1 's it looks like.  Wonder if the G1 is what did it?

Where was it found ?   That might be where this busted-up 5-point fighter's 6th point ended up.   I did not notice any bruises after I skinned him.  All he lost in the fight was an antler point, and the end of a beam.

Many moons ago when I was a teenager my next door neighbor shot a doe during gun season that had an aluminum Easton straight through both eyes pretty much dead center with the shaft broke off on each side of its head, I always wondered how long that poor deer was walking around like that..

Thats a great buck and unusual find,, Im always impressed by the stuff you fuys find, I have found a fee in my lifetime bit not on a regular basis..

Awesome pic, hard to imagine what it was like for him and how long he suffered! The buck behind him on the table looks like a real stud too!
