What is there to hunt near las vegas ?

Going out to vegas was wondering what's the closest place around there that people hunt big game ?

Not going to hunt there  on this trip but for future trip maybe  would like to .maybe take drive if  just to see what is around while I'm there if I have time .

Been there long time ago dont remember seeing anything but dessert near by .  Any state land that can be hunting with in a days drive of there ?

A buddy i grew up with lives up in the hills surrounding Vegas ,he said his neighbor baits the deer with his garden hose LOL ,i'm guessing there is some kind of deer there.

I think there are pronghorn near Vegas, but the big game hunting in Arizona is mostly in the northern mountains above Flagstaff.

Have heard that prairie dog trips are a hell of a lot of fun and not expensive.  Would think there should be some out that way.

Javelina,that's the only thing my buddy hunted down there.  I worked out of Reno for awhile and most people did not go to Vegas to hunt,at least not anything big.

Nevada has mule deer, elk, bear, antelope, mt lion, etc. just google around or try Bowsite. Lots of options.

Well  picked  up the rental last night slept in vagas drove all the way to Santa Barbara only thing I saw on the  300 plus mile trip was crows and seals at  the pier in Santa Barbara

Not much really, unless you want to drive to Utah or Arizona. Lots of stripers in Lake Mead, but they aren't real big.

Lots of game to hunt in NV, with a few parks where the mornings will see sheep drop down. I have seen a few, but a friend of mine who goes there several times a year has hundreds if not thousands of pics of rams up close and personal.
