Trico was a lucky pup to have you, and the family he loved so much. All his life, he loved you all, with all that was in him. Even when you missed the birds he put up for ya!!! He could not have had a better life, with anyone else. He trusted you would always to do the best you could for him. You didn't let him down this time, or ever. 

His loyalty never dies. When your time comes, you'll meet again. With tail wagging and orange vest in his mouth, he'll be waiting for ya. Just don't miss.

These posts for some reason always bring a tear to my eye. Nothing harder than saying goodbye to mans best friend. If there aren't dogs in heaven, I don't want to go....So sorry for your loss....RIP Trico...

So sorry for your loss. I just went through this 2 weeks ago. I had to put my Weimaraner down. It’s never easy losing a family member.

Crappyice, from one Brittany owner to another, I’m very sorry.  My dog is 12 and still has some puppy moments, as Brittanies always do!  Trico sounded like a sweet dog and a great hunter, and you have a special bond with him that will last forever.

Too often the humane and loving decisions are the hardest. He appears to have been a gentle and devoted soul. There is nothing that compares to the eyes of a bird dog....nothing. You did right by him and will cherish the "trico" years for the years to come.
