BizCT
My Dad goes dark-dark 99% of the days he hunts. I expect he beginning saturday (his opening day) he will go dark-dark every single day until the weather is really bad or he shoots a nice buck. I am undecided. depends on how it goes. Daveboone
I used to sit all or most of the day, but hip pain prevents me....now I can work up to 2-3 hrs or so.the more you are there, the more you see
Core
I tend to get shifty at 2 hours. I can do 3, maybe 4 then I start thinking of things I need to get done around the house and/or the fact that mcdonalds is only 12 min away on the drive home and I really love mcdonalds and it's a bit cold and my van is warm and, etc, etc
ApexerER
I am one of those leave for lunch guys that push the midday deer. I don't leave for long. Usually I will sit until 11 or so and then be back in at 1. I have had a couple days over the years in the woods where the action kept me in the stand all day but that has only happened once or twice in 30 years.

Merlot
All day sits is what I'm doing starting tomorrow.
JRod 8G8H
I will sit longer now yes especially because my scrapes are getting hit hard and with the cold front this weekend. Have never sat dark to dark before but next week I have 2 days off I might sit all day and move between 2 or 3 different stands all within a couple hundred yards of eachother.. Larry
I do dark to dark sits all the time after Nov.1st the only time I clime down is to eat my lunch (I wont eat in my the stand) or to change stands. Most of the time I sit all day in the same stand. Edited November 1, 2019 by Larry
UpStateRedNeck
Probably not Juuuuuust yet, but maybe next week. Always try and make it to 10:30, and get in for the afternoon sit around 4 hours before dark.
BowmanMike
I think the time is now if you can do it. I wont be able to tomorrow, but i think Sunday will be an all day affair in the woods. I might move from one spot to another to take advantage of the thermals, but thats it. Move up or down in the hill country i hunt.

genesee_mohican
All day sits are not easy but can be rewarding for sure. It takes some planning. I see a lot of deer and have the most luck between 11am and 2pm. The last few years I got nice bucks at 11am and 1:30pm. If I had a 4 hour window to hunt each day, I'd be out mid day, especially on state land.
Team Hoyt
I hope I can this weekend. But it's hard to sit that long. I guess if theres alot of action it would be easier. But if theres action close enough hopefully I'm not sitting that long lol
