Pygmy Posted December 25, 2019 Share Posted December 25, 2019 Pretty grey fox.....Back in the late 70s and early 80s when I was young and dumb enough to hunt from dusk until midnight and then get up in the morning at 6:00 AM and work from 8 to 5, a buddy and I did a lot of calling with a "grey fox pup in distress" call..... Best we ever did was 8 greys in one night, but we often killed 2 or 3 in a good night's hunt... Greys were bringing about $50 each at the time...We seldom called in a red..They seemed much warier coming to the call than the greys...We used shotguns with #4 shot and shot most of our foxes at 30 or 40 yards..
