WNYBuckHunter
Had an amazing evening at Honeoye today! 21 bass for me, with only 3 or 4 below 2 lbs, and 14 for my buddy with only a few under 2 for him. Multiple 3-4 lb fish. The bite was on big time. We were catching so many so fast we did t have much time for pics, but here are a few of my better ones.

The ramp is very steep and I had removed the tie downs at the top. I had also unhooked the winch and safety chain from the bow hook. Rookie mistakes for sure. My trailer has bunks and normally the boat stays on them until it floats off. That time, the boat started to slide off when I was still a long way from the water. When I saw it begin to slide, I mashed my trucks throttle. Fortunately, the outboard was tilted up. When I got to the bottom of the ramp, and hit the brakes, the boat literally launched like a torpedo off a rack. There was no one on board and no ropes attached. My buddy Joe and I could only watch as it headed out towards the middle, pushed by a stiff offshore wind. Joe's dad and his old buddy were right behind us with their boat. We were having a little 2 boat walleye tournament that day. Naturally, the old pros took their time, carefully tieing off ropes, and not removing the safety chain until thier boat was in the water. By the time they they let us board their old beat up scow, my shiney new boat had dissapeared around a bend, downstream on the mighty Allegheny. They got a big kick out of that one, but we out fished them that day pretty good, so I guess we had the last laugh that night at the cabin. 46rkl
Spent Monday out on Lake Ontario with Hooked Up Charters. Rough and windy and cold but still a blast. Spent yesterday smoking the catch (at least most of it) and, wow! Did it turn out great! Lake trout, Browns and Chinook salmon.

There were guys out there today hammering sunfish and crappie. Walleyes were starting to bite about the time we left. There were a bunch of boats still on the water as it was getting dark.

WNYBuckHunter
Had a good day on Conesus today with one of my buddys. It rained on us all day and the fishing was a bit slow, but we still did all right. Caught a few pike and a few smaller bass that we didn’t take pics of.

Fishing in the rain is cheating, everyone knows fish are easier to catch in the rain from a boat.....you just drop a line next to the boat cause all the fish are hiding under the boat so they dont get rained on. WNYBuckHunter
Had a pretty good day at Honeoye yesterday. 15 fish total, most of them were Honeoye specials (2-3.5lb) and I had a 4 lber break off at the boat before I could grab the net. Had a couple of pickerel bite me off as well. Today I’m headed to Conesus and tomorrow is Skanteles to start checking things out ahead of our first bass tournament in June. It will be my first time fishing that lake.

My buddy and I stopped Down there last weekend to check out the launch. It is beautiful for sure. Some of the clearest water that I’ve ever seen. That’s gonna be the challenge I think
WNYBuckHunter
Had a pretty good weekend thing, went to Conesus Friday with my girlfriend. It was her first time fishing since she was a kid, so it was mostly me teaching her things. Between that and trying to fight the wind, I didnt Get a ton of time actually fishing, buts still caught a few and it was a fun day anyway. Saturday we didn’t go to Skaneateles, we went to Buffalo to see if we could hit up some good smallies. Fished all around the harbor, but didn’t come up with much, so we went up the river a bit and got into a few good largemouth, some crappie and rock bass. Towards the end of the day we went back out to the harbor, and Lake Erie was as flat as I’ve ever seen it, but we didn’t have time to head out there.

I’ve also gotten them on the eastern shore when there is a western wind, and also at the ledge where it drops from about 15 or 20 down to way beyond 60 or 70 feet. In front of Lourdes Camp further down the east shore is also a known spot.

Buckmaster7600
Only a 13yr old would want to get out of a perfectly good boat to fish from a break wall. I guess that’s part of being a teenager, and I’m just happy my 13yr old daughter still says “dad, let’s go fishing!”Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

WNYBuckHunter
Took Evan to Honeoye yesterday. We had a great day and both ended up with sunburns lol. Water temps are rising fast down there, 66-68 degrees yesterday. Most of the Smallies were on beds early and then moved to the shade later in the day. A few largemouth on beds as well.
