coonhunter
That fish is huge! I watched the video last night, and I couldn't believe the size of it. The rivers and small lakes and reservoirs that I fish will turn out a few 4 pounders every year, but never anything like that. What a fish

One of the smaller local rivers isn't known for large smallmouth at all. Average catch is 10-12". Probably 25-30 years ago I caught an honest 28" small mouth. This was way before I paid any attention to trophies etc.. if I caught it, I ate it. Man, I would love to catch him now.lol. It would be on the wall !

Chef
Hit the inlet last night. It was windy and rough. Managed a good striper on top water. What a blast. That 1.5 mile walk through the sand each way was the best workout I’ve had in years.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mowin
The lake Champlain annual father's day tournament has been a challenge this yr. High winds and very ruff waters have kept us in sheltered coves. So far we caught 12 catfish, dinks, one bowfin, and one bass that I weighed in @ 4.71 lbs. Oh and a crap load of bullhead, and one eel. Unfortunately bullhead and eel are not eligible in the contest. PIc doesn't reflect the size of the bass, but the official scales shows 4.71lbs. Usually by now our team has a 20lb+ catfish the board, but today our biggest was a whopping 4.37, lol.

Skillet
I'll admit it. I'm a carp freak. After trout season, I spend many summer nights chasing them. Probably my favorite fish to catch. Got two nice ones tonight so far.
ncountry
Yesterday was tough fishing. Barely 60° and wind blowing backwards. It took 2 of us 4.5hrs to catch our 10 keeper bass for the evening fish fry. Only one 20"er we returned to the water. Catch and release day for a quick trip out this morning was a lot nicer. Sunny with a light wind(still backwards). Picked up a bunch of bass with one 22"er and drifted past Mrs. Loon. My arms aren't long enough to long arm her. lol. I had to hold her next to me to fit into the frame. Edit.. After a little reading , it turns out that it could be Mr. Loon . Apparently they share nesting duties. The_Real_TCIII
We used to set rods out for carp and throw horseshoes all night long, three or four nights a week in the summer. I miss that!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
corydd7
Self admittedly not a good fisherman but I made it a point this year to make improvements. All my fishing so far is via kayak and my back will attest to that. Had a good day today at my favorite small lake. Fished four to six thirty and caught 5 bass and 3 pan fish. Spinner caught all the panfish then switched to a swimbait which caught a few bass. Found my way to a super weedy area and used a six inch sanko on a Texas rig. Two cast with that two bass. I lost a 3ish pound bass at the kayak with a swimbait, on a boat it would have been landed. All in all a good day for me and I hope to keep it going. If my back can handle it I'll head out tomorrow evening then no fishing for a week do to a trip to Maine and a couple days of work.
