Thanks guys! With my daughter married and living in Webster, NY, and my son teaching college in New Hampshire and singing in Boston, this ole house just seemed to big and empty. I worked for the past 21/2years at a teaching hospital, as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and got tired of the hour drive each way. My good friend moved to Ogdensburg after listening to all my stories about my time as a kid fishing up there. He loves working for the hospital there, and they in return were so impressed with him they made him Unit Chief. Having practiced along side this doctor for about a year and a half, we became good friends and colleagues. He knows my work style, abilities, and commitment to my patients, and asked me to consider coming to Ogdensburg to join their team. I am very impressed with the quality of people I have met there, and it feels like a real good fit for me. I guess it was the right offer, at the right time, and being blessed with a good wife of 34 years, she supports the move. So, Ogdensburg, here we come!

I would confiscate every bit of that offending weed and take it home for further investigation.

My own land- I'd put up a trail cam & a sign that says "Please grow your dope somewhere else, you are being watched". A friend's land or a place I have permission- tell the owner, and let him deal with it. Public land- nothing.

Saw this posted on another sight... Years ago, when my daughter was dating, I use to keep some hog testicles in a jar of alcohol, up on the fire place mantle. When she would have a date over the guy would naturally ask what was in the jar. I then told him it was the nuts from the last guy that tried taking advantage of my daughter. No problems after that!!!

Get on AT every couple of days to check classifieds for deals. I also like to check out the bow make specific page (Diamond archery in my case). Lots of things can be learned from there and on this site. Since you are just getting into archery I would definitely recommend using this site first for any questions. Most all of the guys in here are more than willing to help, and quite often are close by and can recommend pro shops in your area for professional assistance.

LOL! I can just see that!! I live in town and sometimes leave for work ~3am. On several occasions, I've had my keys in my pocket, bent over to tie my shoes, then BEEP-BEEP-BEEP!!! Never good, especially at 3am!! The neighbors must wonder what the hell I'm doing! It's quite a joke around my house though!

Archery talk for me is just a freeforall, and I get a strong sense that a lot of the hunters from other parts of the country have a negative view of NY hunters or just NY'ers in general by comments I've heard on that site . Seems a lot of them see themselves as some super hunter whos ethics and ways of hunting just cant be questioned, especially by NY'ers. That's why I prefer this site, we are all kinda in the same boat here and a lot of us have had similar life experiences in the field and where we live. I haven't posted on AT much in the last couple years. To me staying local is best.

Not unless it was a sizable plot of several hundred square feet or more, but a small patch is just some punks experimenting to see what they can produce for their own use. Something me and my friends did as teenagers and we never hurt anyone. Now if it was a meth lab that would be an entirely different story..

Could be a sign that thing is going to crap the bed for good soon. To be honest wireless routers are so cheap now, and the ones you buy off the shelf are 99.9% better then the ones they give out for free.
