I was going to say nice pics but that's not gonna be a popular reply, lol I doubt you were expecting to see momma yote bringing back a mouth full of lettuce and carrots for the pups at the den now were you? JMO- but I get bored looking at trail cam pics of deer all the time. I think this set of shots is great!5 points

I have a ton of coyotes on camera again this summer. This first one just makes me mad/sick.. I know its mother nature, but we really have a problem with them at my place in 8P for a couple of years now .. Wish the season was open now while they're easier to control... I don't get much time to really hunt them, having a young family.. but i took 3 with my archery tackle opening week of 2015 archery season.. Cute shits when they're tiny, but when they grow up.. not so much3 points

well the way I see things is I get a great pair of binos and then I also won't need to get a spotting scope for the range and instead just use the binos plus I want to make one purchase and have something that will be great the rest of my life.3 points

Empirical Evidence: Climate Change Driven By Non-CO2 Factors, Experts Find http://www.c3headlines.com/2016/07/empirical-evidence-climate-change-driven-by-non-co2-factors-experts-find.html3 points

I'm not saying that at all. I believe the science that says the climate is changing. I am not buying the progressive theory that it's caused by man.3 points

The climate change debate is a farce. The left needs it to be man made so they can further their agenda. It's the simple minded liberal followers that give credence to the lie.3 points

Show me where any other country in the world is taxing anyone's "carbon footprint". I'd love to see that. Show me where they are regulating any of their businesses out of business. Show me where they are putting anyone out of work like we've done to coal miners.3 points
-
The climate is changing. It has always been changing. The "science" has yet to prove it's man made. But, just to go a step further, let's say it did prove it was man made. One political party claims the solution is higher taxes and more regulations on America and it's citizens, knowing full well the rest of the world will do nothing about it. Does that sound like it will have any type of a positive impact on climate change? Does it sound like it will have a very negative impact on America and it's economy? That's why people think it's all a conspiracy designed to take America down to the level of 3rd world countries by re-distributing America's wealth. Perhaps if the Left were to take the political agenda out of the "science", more people would be open to the possibility that climate change is man made. I don't think that will ever happen though, because the Left would scorch the earth before it would ever stop pushing it's political agenda.3 points

I have the long trail plots with a few small roundish plots that all connect...they were planted in WW and clover...I disced the WW trails and 2 round plots just now...OK going to toot my own horn on this one...Dang good job on some very tight spots surrounded by trees and high stumps and never nicked a thing...lol The tractors not huge but it's 35 hr JD with a 6ft disc on the back and a front end loader.... Any how want to throw down a couple of bags of lime some fertilizeer10-20-20 then drag and hit it with a clover/small Burnett mix and some TT...I figure there will be WW coming in as well seeing I mowed it. the other plots with be all turnips.2 points

A pair of HUNTING binos will not replace a spotting scope at the range except at relatively short range. Maximum practical magnification on even high quality binos for hunting is about 10X and 8X is a better choice for most of us. Any higher than that is just too hard to hold steady under hunting conditions.2 points

I give up!!! After 15 years blood tracking with dogs I know nothing and you know it all! You win, I'm Out! Good luck out there, you're going to need it!2 points

It's like you are trolling us. Unreal. Tell you what smart guy, go for it and let the Dec know what your plans are and then argue your interpretation to a judge.2 points

LOL! Man, they are all gonna be really upset when Trump gets elected. The article fails to make it VERY clear, these quotes are old and were said when these people really thought Trump had no chance of winning the primaries. BTW, most of the people quoted have never done anything to make this country better or stop the Democrats from destroying it. I suspect they are worried what will be exposed about them when Trump is the POTUS and goes after all the elected hacks who served themselves, rather than the people that elected them. That's why they are not at the convention.2 points

Yea that's it I don't know what I'm talking about. Don't listen to any one here. Don't bother asking if you don't like the answers you are given.2 points

Nope there is no grey area, it's illegal. Tracking and hunting are two separate things that you can't mix together and do as you please.2 points
-
I've been a Deer Search tracker for a number of years. You can NOT bring your dog in the woods to hunt! Has your dog been certified? You MUST call DEC from the tracking area prior to tracking, and fill out a report. Calling local police is recommended as well. Your dog MUST be leashed at all times. Hence the term "leashed tracking dog". What you are trying to do is not legal and if you passed the leashed dog tracking test, you should know the rules and regulations!2 points

The only other debate I can use as an analogy to the "man made" climate change debate is the "Is there a God?" debate. There isn't scientific evidence available to prove either one. Unfortunately believers in God are far less fanatical about forcing their belief on others.2 points

Anyone know what these are? They look like chicken of the wood but a little different than the chickens i've picked and eaten.2 points

Let a trapper in! I have one that traps all season and calls after.season. even traps coon and critter during bow around the fields ,just gave him instructions to enter and exit fields and time to check traps...was more than happy to consent, he now has 3 neighbors properties to trap.as well. Over 640 acres all his all season.. does a great job ! If I get 1 pic of a yoteam now on camera a year it's a lot.. wasn't like that before he started trapping...2 points

I will tell you this...Your problem is just beginning. Wont be long and you will see no small game and then your deer hunting will be for not. The couple professors on here that preach 30 year old studies will tell ya that if you kill they will come back and even stronger. Bullshite...You declare war and do what you have to do to protect your land and whats on it. Anytime is a good time!2 points

Wow! This is great information everyone! I really appreciate all your help. I will definitely try out some of your suggestions. As I mentioned, we both started bow hunting last year. My daughter is the one that really wanted to do it, so I decided to go along for the ride. After the first deer sighting, we were both completely hooked! It has been so great doing this with her and sharing the same passion. Thanks again! Dave2 points

Look neat,go early like now , bring your daughter , offer to help . I live east of Rochester my self , and hunt south of here on prime farm land , wife's from one of the largest farm families in Ontairo county , so I know a few farmers. Dispite what you'll hear, there are still farms that will let People on, I knew three near me, down to two as yesterday I saw one posted for the first time . If I knew you personally I'd give you a lead but I value my standing in the area to much give the nod to a stranger . Ask around everywhere , work , your Doctors office , your kids teams , you'd be surprised who, owns land and would let someone they know on, more so the a door knocker . My nephew's financial advisor has 1,500 acres and my nephew is the only one he lets hunt it. He got access when he mentioned he was going out deer hunting the next week end during one of their meetings . I also know of a couple of teachers that hunt a nice piece of cover along one of our farm fields. The land owner doesn't hunt , one of the teachers taught his kid , and the land owner liked the idea of a couple teachers he knew and trusted hunting it and keeping the local trespassers off . Farmers all either hunt or have friends and workers who do, it's one of the landowners with the least chance of getting on really . My split broilers are starting to smoke pretty good gotta go !2 points

Don't go knocking on doors wearing Camo . Wear regular street clothes and look neat . When they say no , thank them anyway . You could also ask if any of their farmer friends have a deer problem . They might drop a name .2 points

The climate on planet Earth has always been changing and affecting the flora and fauna, and will continue to do so. Blaming it on, and attempting to punish modern human technology is asinine.2 points

I'll second the Stihl recommendation. I don't own a blower, but the saws and string trimmer have been hassle-free for years. Tip: Use quality oil for the premix, and fresh ethanol-free gas. Treat a Stihl tool right and you'll never have to buy another one. Just my two cents.2 points

Figured going with a 10x would be appropriate. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk1 point

I believe this would be similar to having a nuisance permit to take ....say ... a beaver. All the regs read what you can and can't do while TRAPPING. With a special nuisance permit it supersedes the regs and allows what is not normal. You have a special permit to track and during that operation you are bound by those rules. To bring the dog afield during the HUNT and prior to the TRACKING, the permit is not valid and you are bound by the hunting regulations.1 point

Save up as much money as you possibly can and buy the biggest boat you can, but before you make the deal back out and go save some more cause no matter what the damn thing is going to be too small in the near future. Then when you get one thats too big sell it and start from the beginning again.1 point

...on our family farm it seems people show up in camo during or just before the season. never earlier in the year during haying season. not one has ever gotten permission. don't be that guy. do leg work ahead of time. except no with a smile and move on to the next door.1 point

Sweet hope trapping season is a good one...landowners could solve the problem by letting trappers in after deer season...or even predator hunters...I have been trapping land behind me for 3 years and have the coyotes staying out pretty good. Still and occasional one on cam. It not many Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk1 point

Speaking from experience (unfortunately) be careful when landing them not to over bend the rod or you will break off a section of rod. I think Bass or Pan fishing in a nice open area is the best place to learn.1 point

Not much beats a laptop/computer or similar. The phone options are nice - the ones with phone specific connections. It's great for pics on only a few cams. If you are going through thousands of pics...it's money wasted. Vids? Same thing. Tablets are a little better, but equally laborious sometimes. Wouldn't want to go through a thousand pics on that unless I had some spare time and nothing to do. Having the bigger viewing screen is pretty paramount. The small 3 and 4" screens don't cut it.1 point
