  1. Came out after work and right by my truck is this nice looking fox! Snapped a couple of pics with my phone, as he went on his way. Probably wouldn't work out so well if I did a set on school grounds though.... Had a bear in our dumpster last spring too.

  2. Got another one today. Shot it at 9:30 and after that all I did was push for other people. I hit another one later in the day, but I think it was just a scratch because I didn’t find any blood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I have been running my Wicked W403ic kill light for a couple of years now and love it. Now that I went with an ATN night vision scope, I figured I would slim things down from running my red kill light and IR I tesifier on my rifle to a light that could do the job of both. I picked up a Wicked A67ir, which can go from a red light to 2 different types of IR lights. This way I can ditch the small IR intensifier that my ATN scope came with, and take advantage of the further range that the Wicked IR light provides, plus have the ability to use the red light for scanning, etc. One thing I really like is the new adjustable mount this light came with. The one and only complaint I have had with my red scan light has been the mount. The adjustability is great, but the old Wicked mount moves around a lot if you bump it, so I was readjusting it all the time. The new Gen 3 mount is still adjustable, but once it’s set, it’s rock solid. No more adjusting my kill light every set. In addition, it’s quick detach, so it would be easy to swap between guns or remove from my rifle when I’m day hunting or just out shooting. I would highly recommend anyone that’s using their older mount, to ditch it and pick up one of the Gen 3 mounts. You won’t regret it. I also got got one of Wicked’s grip setups for my W403ic so that I can use it for a hand held scanning light. Now I’m all set with what I need for myself and a hunting partner to get out for a night and my rifle isn’t quite as bulky anymore.

  4. Since this was already one of the ideas I kinda had in mind, I decided to go with it today! My idea was actually 3 fish, but that didn't work out so well. Should be able to finish this up next time I work on it.

  13. And finally, after two weeks of grueling labor... a tree gave birth to a majestic eagle! I'm pretty damn proud of this one! Thanks to you guys who followed along and encouraged me to give it my best shot! I seriously had my doubts if I'd be able to pull this one off.

  14. I found another parcel for sale in Pembroke, just a couple miles West of this one. It's over 100 acres, with the huntable area about 425 yards wide by 1,300 yards deep. I walked it yesterday for over 3 hours. It was mind boggling the number of deer tracks I saw. The wooded parts are mature enough so there isn't a lot of brushy growth blocking your view. The brushy fields parts have some trails and clearing that make them huntable. There is also a nice pinch point/"bridge" by the power lines that seem to get a lot of traffice. A bit swampy on the WNW side of the property, but not sure how wet it will be during hunting season. (I was glad it was 17 degrees out as there was an inch of ice on top of the wet areas that I could somwhat walk on.) It just meets my criterion for a 30 minute drive. Has a dirt driveway with which I can drive up to the power lines if I needed to, as long as the snow is not too deep. Even had a small pond. Not sure if any fish in it, though. I hope to put it under contract and get retrieval rights from the neighbors. If anyone has any thoughts on this new parcel, I'm all ears. Thanks.

  17. It's not a full-time job - most of it is passive income via replicas and licensing. Only real "efforts" are appearance fees. And that income is supplemental. It is as Gman said like winning the lottery. People can downplay the money, people can downplay what they would do - doesn't change the fact that one can monetize a world record - making life-altering money for something that one pays to pursue as a hobby. The guy shot one deer, one time, and made $1.5M off of it.

  42. Most of you guys are done with deer hunting, but this past Sunday was the opener for the month long shotgun season on the island. Yesterday a group of 6 of us went out to a piece of state land. Me and another guy each shit 3 and most of the others had shots at deer but missed. We did pushes and must have pushed 30 deer that day. I missed twice somehow, but I made up for it by shooting 2 deer 10 feet from each other. On the island you get a new for tag for every doe shot so I still have 3 doe tags. A couple big bucks were seen, but only one person was able to take a shot at it. I’ll be back out on Friday to see if I can connect with one of those bucks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
