Lost my grandfather this week. He was a huge part of my life and will be greatly missed. I grew up camping and hunting birds and chipmunks in his woods. Fished in his pond for as long as i can remember. He was always smiling and had a great smart ass remark for anyone. My son grew very close to him also and it hit him pretty hard too. So we went for a long walk in our woods today to just talk and enjoy the woods. He was toting his ithaca single shot .22, and i had my ruger mkIII .22. We had games of who could hit the tiny tree. His growing up to be a great shot, im still better but he can definitely hold his own.

starting at 1:53 the girl seems to be talking about what the turkey is doing, he has his head down now his heads up and looking around. shortly after the bird gobbles. note that the girl appears to be kneeling in the grass, which would lean more towards as they were walking they heard the bird gobble and snuck up to the field edge. 2:18 she says hes gonna walk right to that other guy, so they KNOW there is another hunter already there and he is much closer to the bird than they are. but still coming closer so we might have a chance. so at this point they are now aware of another hunter already being there, a gobbler working back and forth in direction between them and the other person THIS SCENARIO is a recipe for disaster and they chose to continue with their calling in hopes of pulling the bird towards them. notice that she appears to be keeling in the high open grass just off the edge of the field, also take note of how much she is moving around and with very little face paint on. I'm actually surprised she didn't spook the bird with all the movement. the only right thing she did was not take a winging shot as the bird flew past. some assumptions of a miss also, could very well of been 2 birds together and if the other hunter heard or saw these folks sneak in there and dropped one bird he may of stayed seated for fear of receiving a movement shot from them, I have been in that situation and waited till the other hunters moved off to retrieve my bird. this isn't a "public land" issue only it happens on private land just as much if not more. does not matter where you are you are going to have 2 styles of hunting happening, the set, call and wait folks and the run and gunners. Its simply a law of averages as you are eventually going to have to 2 styles interact, meaning the setter may be working a bird and as the runner finally gets close enough to hear the bird and moves in. What the hunters choose to do when this happens defines what type of hunter they are. in this video they knew another person was already there and closer to the bird, they chose to continue calling to try and lure the bird away from the other hunter. Their choice in doing so created an unsafe situation for all parties. with today's turkey loads and chokes people are using it can be a deadly decision even at longer distances. not sorry at all but I call a spade a spade and I don't care if its a man or woman in the video, what they did in this video was questionable at best.

Different strokes for different folks. No such thing as one size fits all. I'm looking for something shorter and lighter too. Nice pick up Buckmaster7600! Should be perfect for your style of hunting!

I was asked to substitute at a friend's house last night . There were six couples and the winners moved and changed partners . Anyway , I won 5 rounds out of 6 and won a 1/2 gallon bottle of Irish Red Rose wine . The funny part is , I am probably the only one of the group that doesn't drink .

That seems to be the popular length but I don’t know why? I’ve yet to find an advantage, in rifles there is the added velocity but from my testing that’s not the case with shotguns. I wanted 18.5” barrel and had a heck of a time finding one that is tapped for removable chokes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My guess is that, if elected in 2020, the socialist democrats will find ways to strictly control the internet, smart phones, listen in on conversations ,etc. Trump should mention this/hit these people with that kind of message, and I'm sure the stupid masses of people will begin to understand the gravity of this countries situation of possibly becoming a socialist country....after all, all those young folks cannot be without their communication devices. They will change their tune fast. Yep, I can see it now...Beto what's his name will be minister of transportation...passing out skateboards while eliminating gas powered transportation at the same time....Bubba Clinton will HEAD up the health and human servicing....I mean services dept., plus sexaphone classes and Osama...I mean Obama will be teaching community organizing and run midnight basketball. I think I'll stick with Pres. Trump....

My sincere condolences, to you and your family, on the passing of your grandfather. Prayers sent. What a perfect way for you and your son to clear your heads, and honor a great man's memory. Those memories will be with you both for the rest of your lives. No doubt he was right there with you, smiling that smile of his.

You should easily get that. I'd consider it myself if I didn't just recently blow my 99 budget on a 99F. They're great firearms and 300 Sav is a great round. Hope you don't regret the sale. Good luck.

It was on my IPad. If you go to the photo app, create an album. Once that is done, select it and there is a > at the top right of the page. Click on that and you can see a slideshow of your album. You can modify and edit it to different lengths and select music it for it. Then select the circle with 3 dots on the top right to save it to memories. I started the album with all of my pics that I saved from the season, the edited it down several times to about 50 pics or so.

Power lines are right of ways issued to the power company or owned by the power company. Same as gas lines . Unless other wise posted as public access you are trespassing. Exception public lands. I have a gas line , and power line on my property . They are posted . I have constant battles with people crossing my backyard with 4 wheelers , snowmobiles. Have had one guy ticketed multiple times . Last time he appeared in court judge warned him if he did it again he was going to jail and they were going to seize his vehicle. You should check for owner permission before doing anything.

I have similar problems at my camp, which is up on posts. I had to redo all the posts properly which put an end to the camp moving, but still have problems with the plumbing. My toilet drain exits the floor, then I have a gas trap before it goes to the ground unfortunately it enters the ground at a long shallow angle, which lifts the line up and down. It only goes to a 55 gallon drum, which needs to be improved. If you can take the horizontal septic line below frost line from directly below the toilet, then surround the vertical pipe with gravel as mentioned, it largely eliminates any heave on the pipe. use a couple pieces of the flexible rubber elbows at the trap, and that will also minimize the heave.

They should have been stoned originally. If there's none, I'd say anywhere between 6-8" all around pipe. Crushed #1 Sent from my LM-V405 using Tapatalk

Heady Topper or Focal Banger? Focal or Heady? Which one is better?!? Heady? Man, what a beer! Top notch DIPA that really nails the hops flavor from start to finish. If Goldilocks made a DIPA, this would be it. Believe the hype, this beer is awesome! That said, I find Focal Banger more crushable and prefer its citra and mosaic hops blend. There is no wrong answer here, but "for me", it's Focal > Heady.

Here is another issue you may have to worry about deer may like feeding on those seeds so if you are just chucking them on the ground with out physically planting them. You may technically be accused of baiting deer even if it is pre season when you do this . Between that and the fact its public land and others may hunt over it seems like more trouble then its worth in my opinion.
