Had an amazing last day! Tagged out with about a half hour before I had to give up for work. Nice bird I have been hunting the last couple weeks. Ivory tip and all! Finally met his match today! Was a tougher year for me than usual.14 points

Wow that didn't take long. She mustaches woke up on the wrong side of the limb today.. she screamed the whole 300 yards with everything from kee kee runs to had cutting he wouldn't even stop running to gobble. The hen went by me at 4 feet and had to yell to get him to stop. Lol. As soon as he stopped he went into strut and showed a full fan and as soon. As he broke strut it was lights out. Saw 2 jakes off at about 40 yards. Burris red dot on one. Cousin doesn’t see them. I let them walk. Scratched some leaves few minutes later and here they come. Now he sees them at about 20 yards from different angle. One started to half strut and the other pecked at DSD hen deke. Then the fun happens. Full Jake strut and mounts the decoy. He banged on it atop of it for ten good minutes. Knocked it over but Still enjoying himself. Other watching. Waiting for cousin to kill his first bird. And waiting. Non humper periscoped and putt putt. Boom my cousin clean over the top. I immediately drop the hammer on mr hump thinking he connected going for double. Nope I see his run off and mine folded up. Had gobbles few minutes ago and currently working a yelping hen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk6 points

Gonna try to get Tacks into a multipin slider on the cheap . Had an old sight laying around and the plan is to mount it to his existing HHA. Still some finishing touches and some black paint but the dimension all seem to jive.5 points

A few years ago I had a true slammer stand like a statue at 60 yards for over half an hour. He had a doe feeding next to him and wasnt letting her out of his sight. If I had this sight I'd have slid it to 60 and taken that shot. This was state land too it would have been the deer of a lifetime5 points

Went out early and had to be out early due to family obligations. So about 730 I wrapped everything up and was out. When I heard a gobble close by. So I ran back in and set up quick. Made a few low calls and had one way off gobble back. I thought I must have spooked the close bird. Then the he sounded off and I knew I was in the game. About 1 minute later I saw a blue head come running down the field edge. He came into 20 yards and that's where he stopped. Happened super quick.5 points

Thanks! the one was right at 1 1/4'' and the other at 7/8" which was broke off. We played some games this week. Had him pretty close couple mornings ago but did not push a shot as it was very thick. I'm glad I waited!4 points

Early this morn cold front was going thru and too windy for the lake so fished the canal. Managed two good ones, one short and lost another keeper and a couple of pickerel. Fun way to catch them on 6lb line throwing stickbaits. And broke in the new fish cleaning table and it's a winner! Think I might go get some new trolling motor batteries today and replace mine, they aren't lasting like they should.4 points

Well just got back to the truck.only took 7hrs 30 minutes round trip. Lol. So now back to camp clean the bird and work on hay equipment so it's ready for hay season. Been a long 2 months. Didn't miss a daybreak in the woods since 4/1 got 2 gobblers in ny and 2 in pa. Got flooded out for Nebraska and just had too much work going to hit Ohio and Maine as planned. Hate the end of the season but I do need to catch up on work. At least i won't be racking up Miles on the truck, just over 4400 Miles since April 1st. Sent from my SM-G930VL using Tapatalk4 points

Went out in the kayak yesterday looking for big pike on the big inline spinners I just put together and found 2 awesome fish. One had a big gash on it's side, I can only presume from the eagle that has a nest 100 yds away. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk4 points

posted the text, some of the bar charts won't show, but gives the gist of the article. All I can say is try and draw a tag for better units anywhere in the US and see how few hunters there are.3 points

The hen is coming gotta see what happens here he is rapid fire gobbling now Sent from my SM-G930VL using Tapatalk3 points

When my dial is at 20 , my pins are 20,30,40 ,perfect for the treestand . When shooting the 3d leagues ,the dial adjusts the top pin from 20 to 70ish. Kind of the best of both worlds.3 points

Assembly Bill A7627A has been assigned a "Same As" bill in the Senate: S5818A Assembly Bill A7627A has been assigned a "Same As" bill in the Senate: S5818A Assembly Bill A7627A Relates to hunting and hunting licenses; repealer Sponsor: WOERNER Recent Actions: May 14, 2019 - REFERRED TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION May 21, 2019 - AMEND AND RECOMMIT TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION May 21, 2019 - PRINT NUMBER 7627A Review A7627A on NYSenate.gov What this Means: In New York State, both the Senate and Assembly must pass a bill before the Governor can consider it for signature (approval) or veto (rejection). S5818A is an identical version of A7627A in the Senate. Experienced observers know that a bill with a “same as” in the alternate house is an important early sign that a bill could pass both the Senate and Assembly. It indicates that individual lawmakers in each house are supportive of the bill. What Happens Next: The committee may amend the bill to satisfy concerns of committee members, leave it as is, or refer it to another committee for further deliberation. The bill may be reported to the full Senate chamber for consideration if a majority share of the committee members support it. If a bill has not been addressed by the committee by the end of the two-year legislative term, the bill is said to have 'died in committee'. What Can I Do? You can subscribe to email alerts for S5818A at the following URL: https://www.nysenate.gov/legislation/bills/2019/S5818A. Additionally, all members of the Senate welcome legislative feedback from constituents at nysenate.gov. When you use the New York State Senate website to officially support or oppose this bill, your feedback will be shared directly with your senator3 points

Make a meatloaf mix of any burger. Cut onions in half and carefully peel the outer petals apart. Then you have two onion halves. Make meatloaf mix into a ball that you can fit the 2 matching onion petals around it like a shell. Then wrap a couple of pieces of bacon around it and toothpick to hold together. After cooked glaze with BBQ sauce and let cook another 10 minutes. Usually get two or three sets of onion petals out of one large onion. Then the rest I dice up and put into the meatloaf mix.2 points

The Henckels on top was my primary for over 35 years. For about the last six years, I'll carry either the Grohmann #1 or the #2. But, the Henckels has earned a permanent place in my day pack, so I guess it's still my favorite. BTW, those Grohmanns are nimble, ergonomic little beauties.2 points

Funny part is my favorites are not in this pic. One was my Dads folder, another was a fixed blade carried in WWII , including the Battle Of The Bulge , and my Shrade lb7 , which dressed my first buck, rode with me down many rivers including the Yukon River and many other adventures. oh and that’s not a butter knife ....2 points

My daughter was out there doing her last clinical this past winter. Nationally recognized facility and over half the patients she saw had no legal status. So no payment and obviously no insurance but they were treated anyway. I guess that helps explain some of the high medical costs.2 points

Smoked Mack and cheese is the best, I do it every year at thanks giving now. First time was a accident. I was using the electric smoker to hot hold some food and didn’t realize there was still chips in the hopper. Now it’s a staple every year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

What a bizarre morning. My dead nuts, always a few, but often many birds roosting spot has been silent. No fly downs, no gobbles and didn’t bump any. I will say that it’s a beautiful spring morning and I’d be otherwise sitting at my desk, but dang... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Landing them in the kayak is where things can get dicey quick! It's fun though, especially when you're half paying attention and get a follow right up to the boat and it scares the hell out of you for a second. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk2 points

Wow! Awesome machine work Jeremy! Looks sweet. But I'm not too bright sometimes so I'll ask the question. Why do you need multiple pins on a sliding sight like an HHA? Mine has a single pin that I slide to the desired range.2 points

A man was telling his buddy: You won't believe what happened last night. My daughter walked into the living room and said: “Dad, cancel my allowance immediately, forget my college tuition loan, rent my room out, throw all my clothes out the window, take my TV and my laptop. Please take any of my jewelry to the Salvation Army or Cash Converters. Then sell my car, take my house key away, and throw me out. Then disown me and never talk to me again. And don't forget to write me out of your will and leave my share to any charity you choose." "Holy Smokes!" replied the friend, "She actually said that?" "Well, she didn't put it quite like that. She actually said: "Dad, meet my new boyfriend, Mohammed. We're going to work together on Elizabeth Warren’s Presidential Campaign."2 points

Could be the gene pool of the people who would make good soldiers just don't have many kids anymore . Or are just becoming more and more drugged up and lazy or both1 point

I'll make a very sweeping and general statement here: kids today are lazy. My father asked his grandson recently to help move a small brush pile. The kid wouldn't do it. He felt it was somehow beneath his station in life, or something. My brothers and I all pitched in and got the work done quickly, just like we used to do on my grandfather's farm. It's an attitude problem. We came back to the house after moving the brush, and this little prick of a nephew stood there smirking and asked me if I had fun. If looks could kill that little prick would have been dead.1 point

If you like Western US history the book on parallels between Crazyhorse and Custer is a good place to start. I read the multi volume Nixon set last, and its long, and you have to be interested in politics. But interesting behind the scenes info on what made that period in US history tick.1 point
