  1. On January 17, 1991, Allied forces initiated Operation Desert Storm. Under the outstanding leadership of General Norman Schwarzkopf, those forces ultimately drove out the invading Iraqi forces from Kuwait and liberated that occupied nation. One fact that is seldom, if ever mentioned, is the fact that the majority of American military leadership in both the field grade officer and senior non-commissioned officer ranks were Vietnam and Vietnam Era veterans. They are the generation of veterans who were subjected to verbal and physical attacks by cowardly communist appeasing sympathizers. Even some segments of society ostracized this generation of veterans. So given the green light to win this war, they did along with a new generation of brave young Americans who believe in fighting for freedom, not just talking about.

  2. Little while back I picked up a benchmade Osborne 940 folder with s30v steel. I've been impressed so far and got bit by the bug. Also Moog reminded me how much of a PITA folders are to clean after gutting an animal. So now I've got a hunter orange benchmade altitude in s90v steel. Fit and design seems itd be perfect for the task of gutting and/or quartering big game. Screaming sharp out of the box too. Feel I could shave my beard off with it if I was so inclined. 7. Jump the gun a bit. Picked up a new bow before getting rid of some. Primary hunting bow had been thru a lot and killed deer on both public and private land. Still its 8 yrs old and time for an upgrade. Plus no need to shoot a 70lb speed bow. First impressions and draw even on performance setting of this blacked out 60lb Bowtech Realm X is good. We'll see. Trad bows were pulling me in but I'm back to the dark side for now. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

  19. Pat wings dry - shake a dozen ish in 1 tablespoon of baking powder, pinch of salt , pinch of black pepper- Spray basket lightly with cooking spray- single layer in basket. 12 minutes at 370, flip em over , 12 more minutes at 370- flip and 5 more at 400. Crispy and juicy. Toss in your sauce o’ choice. Easy peasy

  24. Thanks fir the compliments I’ve never had it anywhere but Otisco but I think It’s better suited for the bigger finger lakes...or Ontario! Trying to free up some extra cash towards buying some land nearby...We will probably buy a small pontoon for our young kids to enjoy after the dust settles on the land deal fingers crossed.

  28. I also think that humanity just can't read or comprehend anything that's longer than a short paragraph anymore. Reading a tweet or a short text message on their cell phones is about all they can handle. The (mostly negative in my opinion) impact that smart phones have had on the human species is mind boggling.

  39. it's not that simple anyhow. Nothing would ever prohibit the sale of corn for cattle and farm. Package and call it what you want. the marketing is just that, marketing. If you wanted to buy corn you could even if the bag said cow corn.

  41. True That. Same as the Clover seed sitting in a bag with a big buck on it..... Again showing what "Trophy Animals" mean in today's hunting. Also money is really not a thing to the guy walking around in a hunting store with most items being high dollar purchases. Couple extra dollars on a bag of corn won't make them blink. It's such a high dollar market they will find ways around NY's stupidity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  42. This is Exactly what it is. So let me ask. They put out 100's of pounds of corn in dead of winter to snipe deer for culling, Do you think they kill every deer that fills their belly everyday when the snipers are not there? Would this not just kill all of those deer also that were not shot? That bullshit of deer not breaking down corn all winter Is just that. Their stomachs do not change that fast. The only place they have found deer issues and corn is in the big woods where the deer never see corn at all during the year. As far as the labeling of deer stuff.... Don't think for a second that they won't come up with another gimmick. Just put a picture of a cow and a goat next to the deer and boom...Problem Solved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  44. Always felt this was simply a "knee-jerk" reaction by NYS DEC to the CWD issue and not justified or restricted as being cloaked under a "negative benefits" veil.

  45. This is a phenomenon that can happen, but it is not a guarantee. It is more of an issue in winter when there may not be any other food sources around. In the Spring there should be other options, and deer tend to instinctively vary their diet when possible.

  46. I do know of it Rob. But haven't spent any time in there to speak of. Did a few deer hunts over that way years ago, but found Partridge Run much more to my liking. It's a good sized area though. And I'm sure you could find a place to camp back in there. My In-laws are from Huntersland, not too far from there.
