  6. Goodness, North, this seems out of character for you. Traitor, vile, treacherous? To whom did she commit treason? This is the oath she took: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

  7. SST are a love or hate. I know several who like them and many who don't. I'm going to generalize here because this is my opinion, but every single person who has ever said they like the SSTs have been people who aren't as serious or don't put time in. It's a weird observation but everyone I know who likes them are a few rounds down the lane kind of guy and are always running low so they're on the lookout for them. I don't get it. Even my FIL loves them, but he shoots maybe 2-3 slugs a year and calls it done. I only ever seen him hit the broadside of the barn once - and of course it was a long range dart, lol. All other times...not sure he'd hit Lake Ontario if he aimed at it.

  9. COSTELLO: I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America. ABBOTT: Good Subject. Terrible Times. It's 5.6%. COSTELLO: That many people are out of work? ABBOTT: No, that's 23%. COSTELLO: You just said 5.6%. ABBOTT: 5.6% Unemployed. COSTELLO: Right 5.6% out of work. ABBOTT: No, that's 23%. COSTELLO: Okay, so it's 23% unemployed. ABBOTT: No, that's 5.6%. COSTELLO: WAIT A MINUTE. Is it 5.6% or 23%? ABBOTT: 5.6% are unemployed. 23% are out of work. COSTELLO: If you are out of work you are unemployed. ABBOTT: No, Biden said you can't count the "Out of Work" as the unemployed. You have to look for work to be unemployed. COSTELLO: BUT THEY ARE OUT OF WORK!!! ABBOTT: No, you miss his point. COSTELLO: What point? ABBOTT: Someone who doesn't look for work can't be counted with those who look for work. It wouldn't be fair. COSTELLO: To whom? ABBOTT: The unemployed. COSTELLO: But ALL of them are out of work. ABBOTT: No, the unemployed are actively looking for work. Those who are out of work gave up looking and if you give up, you are no longer in the ranks of the unemployed. COSTELLO: So if you're off the unemployment roles that would count as less unemployment? ABBOTT: Unemployment would go down. Absolutely! COSTELLO: The unemployment just goes down because you don't look for work? ABBOTT: Absolutely it goes down. That's how it gets to 5.6%. Otherwise, it would be 23%. COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means there are two ways to bring down the unemployment number. ABBOTT: Two ways is correct. COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job? ABBOTT: Correct. COSTELLO: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job? ABBOTT: Bingo. COSTELLO: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to have people stop looking for work. ABBOTT: Now you're thinking like a Democrat. COSTELLO: I don't even know what the hell I just said! ABBOTT: Now you're thinking like Biden.

  10. Here is the latest update. I bought Gunner one of those expensive Dokken Canada Goose dummies to train him to retrieve geese in addition to ducks. It is fairly large and heavy but Gunner had no problem retrieving it. I'm getting him ready for the early September Canada Goose season. valoroutdoors.com

  11. It would warm my heart if the judge deems which portions are unconstitutional and then in the opinion warns that if unconstitutional laws within this same frame work are passes and brought to the Supreme Court for a third time within such vague time frame that it would be his recommendation for SCOTUS to hold sponsors of the bills and the governor in contempt of court. I mean all other states with similar laws that were affected respected the SCOTUS ruling but NYS is intentionally being spiteful. Governor even said so. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

  17. Accutips - and when you find them, but every single box so you have a stock pile. Sabots are hard to come by in the premier offerings like the Accutips. You'll see a split on fans of the Hornady SSTs - some people like them and some do not. I am most definitely in the do not category. They run hot IMO and across the board been inconsistent lot to lot for me any time I have ever tried them. Winchester and Federal offer other premier options, but those too, can be rare. I bit the bullet, pun intended, and have 15 ish boxes of Accutips. Two seasons ago we ran into a big issue finding them. Should be more available than 2020 or 2021 but still, not easy, to find. Hint - Batavia Dick's store has a few boxes of 12 g Accutips as of Sunday. Pricing was not cheap but again, is what it is.

  19. Back when we used shotgun, we used Remington Copper Sabots or (Accu Tips now) for years. Tried numerous other brands, but these always shot the best from our guns. Performance on deer was very good as well, out to 125 yards. that was the farthest shot taken between us. Quite a few DRT drops too.

  29. Generally unchanged from past few years, although I will admit to being more ambitious with higher hopes having more time on a new property and some food plots and lots of off season work that I hope pays off. 1. Always at the top of my list is to enjoy the time away from a hectic life. Enjoy my woods therapy and not to make it feel like a chore. 2. At least 2 hunts with my oldest 2 boys, even if we don't see a bit of brown. 3. Put at least 2 deer in the freezer with a goal of 3 (2 bucks and a doe or 2 does and a buck, it all works out). 4. A 2.5 or better bow buck, preferably a 3.5 but I wont eat tag soup if a nice 2.5 gives me a shot.

  30. I was quite pleased when I saw on the news this am that Traitor Liz was soundly defeated in her bid for relection in Wyoming. This is a vile, treacherous person who is more than a little deserving of a good drubbing, considering she has ignored the will of her constituents the past 2 years in order to wage her personal vendetta campaign against Donald Trump. I believe she was defeated by a 69-29% margin (2% other candidates)? Pretty clear message that the people of Wyoming did not agree with her stance on Trump/Jan 6th in my book!! What say you?

  31. I think his bank account is a bigger accomplishment in all seriousness. I am sure it took alot of work, planning, prep and practice, but to have north of a half million dollars to do this....well, you done well in other areas of your life too. He listed the King Ranch for his whitetail for example. Not exactly your run of the mill outfitter or public land spike. Had a drop tine, too. Kudos to him.

  40. One deer for the freezer. And always hope it plays out to get two with the second being a decent buck. I like to get an early doe then play for the buck the rest of the season. A deer in the freezer for my hunting buddy for his family. Then a new adventure into some duck hunting ... And with this adventure one duck will be considered a win. Lol. The ponds can't be all froze over come December or this is out the window. And to enjoy the time in the stand after all the hard work this spring and summer.
