  1. Just make sure the bottom of the laptop has air. Many people who take them to bed or on a couch cause the cpu to overheat. They have little "feet" to keep them off a flat surface, this amount of space is needed to keep the fan working properly... All the vents are on the bottom of the laptop, this area is key to keeping it cool. Keep it clean and in a room with carpet those vents should be cleaned monthly if needed... Dust is a computer fans enemy... Otherwise a cooling pad/fan will work/help. Get a intel they run cooler than the AMD processor... If they are stationary computers consider replacing with a desktop, they run cooler and are cheaper... You can try to put more thermal grease but only if you really know what you are doing!
  2. Though you were going to post a picture of a monster buck! After rocky 4 It went down hill. Loved Mr.T, though he was the best villain! Balboa is so stupid and predictable the fool just come at me straight ahead. This time aint gona be no quick knock down, this time Im gona hurt him real bad! Your prediction for the fight? PAIN!!!
  3. WOW, best of luck to you!!! Post some deer pictures!!!
  4. Did not want to use up all my LIKES on this page... Good luck, can't hurt...
  5. You make shooting a compound sound simple, wow. Dam, I did not realize traditional was so hard... I shoot a Heli-M compound. I try to concentrate on good posture, form and consistency. Try not to overwork yourself it will result in poor form. Even though I really enjoy shooting my bow, I am limiting myself to about 50 shots a day and only every other day... Try to record yourself if you have a camera it will help you correct mistakes. Try to shoot with just form, no aiming. With a large back stop or target, close your eyes and do 10 shots with just good form. A small mark on 2-3 arrows can indicate a draw point release for consistent draw length when shooting. High left shot could indicate an over draw. Low and rt could indicate you are stressed. Just ideas, hope you figure it out and good luck! Again, I did not know traditional bows where so complicated, WOW!
  6. I have used ICS 400 Beman hunter 8.4 gpi. The were a little light for 65 lbs bow. Used 340 ICS hunter at 9.3 gpi last year. Just purchased some ICS hunter pro 340 at 8.8 gpi. Slightly longer shaft due to smaller knocks but should still be light arrow with good pass-through. They are sure hard to pull out of the 3D targets!!! Get to try the new ICS Hunter Pro's this week! Purchased 13, hope to have at least 6 to chose from by Sep 27th.
  7. My buddy does fox just at sunset with bow. But he has access to golf courses...
  8. I started with a 30-06 that I still use, Savage model 110. That was enough gun for me with federal high shock 165 sierra bow tails and 1/2 inch groups at 50-100. Used a 308 semi-auto then a Winchester 44 mag. Going classical this year with a 30-30 in Winchester. 300 WM is a bit much for NY if you can take game with a 44 Mag. But if long range is your thing and you have the area for it... That can really reach out and touch them... I would still use my 30-06 for up to 450 yards... Long range just seems a little impersonal to me and I like to get up close and personal! That gun would feel like a anchor on a long hike!
  9. I would have many sleepless nights if I had trail cam pics like this!
  10. No No its just a branch. GPS location pls... That's Nice!
  11. Does it seem like they are getting bigger or is it just me? I really hate parasites!!! I am afraid to go into the woods for fear of being carried off by them... lol Nice pics!!! 67 days!!! Not like I am counting or anything...
  12. WOW awesome story!!! Makes me second guess hunting Roscoe a few years back with two adults that liked to brake into the back shed and steel the land owners corn! The cubs where 200 lbs! My upgrade from a Mathews MQ1 to a Heli-M now seems slightly inadequate, lol. Again great story and congrats on really nice bear!!! Can't wait to see the mount! Hope it meets all your expectations!
  13. Welcome aboard, great site for the beginner and expert... Hope you enjoy many years of outdoor fun!!!
  14. While I would love to hear the bugle while hunting, I am not so sure I like the idea. I would refer to Doc's comments and the introduction of more threats to deer. Disease, competition for food sources and habitat destruction would be issues of concern.
  15. ARG!!! OK I will TRY to make this short... I started this year in the end of March taking off for almost 3 months. After shooting for 3-4 weeks, I added a 70 yard pin and started shooting more as it was becoming a better challenge. Working more on form than concern for precision (I was using many types of arrows) I started to get a pinch in both shoulders, sharp pain. I thought I was just overworking myself and stopped shooting... Man that sucked!!! After 2 plus months with no improvement I went to the Doc. Found out the numbness, pins and needle feeling in my hand was from a pinched nerve. Herniated disk in the neck was what the MRI showed. Neck injury from HS caused pulling on the shoulder muscles causing the shoulder pain... OLD injury coming back to haunt me from over 25 years ago! WOW I am getting old! So after some prescribed drugs, physical therapy and now chiropractic care I can shoot again!!! I tried shooting about 3 weeks ago(Had to test the waters!!!) and did not feel any pain. I was so relieved!!! I dropped down to a 65 lb. Heli-M last year and I love the bow! Did not want to have to drop down to a 55 but they are very effective with lighter arrows! I shot yesterday for the second time and was happily relieved I was not in any pain after shooting about 40 arrows... Now is the time I usually purchase a dozen arrows and use them until the season starts if I don't brake too many I will have 4 ready for the season. Two months plus is plenty of time to get ready IF you shoot 3 times a week or more you should be able to fix any form or bow issues... Check your strings if they are questionable NOW is a great time to replace them. Check and tighten everything just to be safe, I had my arrow rest move on me one time causing multiple issues until I realized it was loose! I know many bow hunters who shoot 3-4 times before season and think they are ok to shoot... I commend your dedications to the sport if you are practicing now, you are probably more accurate than at least 90% of the people who only do it a week or two before they go... Lesson is if you shoot the bow you should work out your upper body, back, shoulders, neck and arms. It will keep your form better if your body is in good shape... Arg I need to start working out... The range was my work out, now I will shoot less and walk the 20 acre course more, ahh the season is almost upon us!!! Arrows...
  16. Congrats and good luck, hope you get a monster!!!
  17. Nice shots!!! Antlers said it right, stud!
  18. Well said Growalot. Such a shame, so young. Think I am going to stay away from this one...
  19. NY laws change so often I can not keep up, crazy... Anyone who brakes in with force will be subjected to force... If the threat is perceived as life threatening then deadly force is allowed as far as I know... Might sound stupid but identify your target, I am sure I am not the only one who has read about some kid coming home late or someone up for a late snack being identified as a thief and shot dead... Family sometimes forget their keys... Lets just hope none of us ever have to deal with this situation! Otherwise I refer to Predates last sentence in a different light. I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. Now I want a camera system... Arg
  20. Looks like a bob cat in the second picture, no?
