I'm ready. Beyond ready... Didn't have time to bow hunt this yr. First time in 40 yrs I didn't bow hunt.

I've gotten several deer with the non collar rage broadheads. Shot from 11 yrds to 45 yrds. Haven't had any issues.

I'm a rebel. I keep everything in my pocket since I lost 'em yrs ago. Been checked several times over the years. Never had a issue. However, I only hunt private land.

I'll bet a good share of those who vowed never to shop there again, have. Myself included. Shame on me... I personally know at least 10 people who are eating there words. They are correct in saying that in our area, there's just not another option for hunting or fishing gear( guns are the exception). Yes they could shop online, but like me I will not buy clothing of footwear online. I want to see, feel, try on my hunting clothes, boots. Yes one could take the time to go to F&S and try the stuff, then order online. But what a PITA and a waste of time. I've definitely spent a lot less there then in the past, but it is convenient.

Nothing better than a high grade walnut stock...but not user friendly in the woods. Synthetic... some look better than others. I've got both, like em both.

You gotta try Cooper black pepper sharp American. Makes the best grilled cheese.

Rig up a harbor freight winch. Too easy.

I've let em hang in a walk in cooler for 7 days before processing. I've processed em after hanging in the walk in overnight, and everywhere in between. If cooled off completely, I see no difference in tenderness or quality of the meat. Age of the deer, if it was killed quickly and gutted and cooled as fast as possible, have a much greater effect on the quality of the meat then hanging for a certain time.

I've tried ours a few times. Food came out ok, but not good enough to keep it. Gave it away.

I'm currently in SC where the only winning ticket was sold. I've still a chance. I'll check my tickets after this mornings hunt.

Our school playground had those. Definitely got a few bumps and bruises from playing on them.

We're hunting in Fairfax SC. I'm hoping to get one pig and one deer. We're allowed one doe, two deer with 3 points on one side and one buck with 4pts or a 12" spread. As well as 3 oinkers. There is 12 of us going. So we're able to get 7 critters each. Not even close to expecting that many, but hopefully everyone can take a buck and a pig. Everything else would be a bonus.

Finished the first leg of the trip from NY to Fort mill SC. Will be getting to the lodge tomorrow around noon. Hunting starts Saturday morning.

I can no longer pull back 60 lbs. My bow is set at 42#. I keep my shots at 25yrds or less. Have no prob putting a deer down with that poundage.

I had one from a old camper in my garage. Gave it to a buddy of mine mine for his camp many yrs ago. He still uses it.

Kayden got his first deer this morning. First shot was way off. like 10' off, lol. He calmed down for the 2nd shot and drilled him.
