First night in the hospital

I'm almost 50 and just spent my first night in the hospital last night. I came into the hospital Thursday morning after 36 hrs of bad abdominal pain just thought I was constipated. After some testing I have been diagnosed with colitis and diverticulitis. I am on vacation this week hoped to get some fishing and boating in, NOT. I had some blood work sent away to check for crones, I pray that comes back negative. Im sick already of the clear liquids, I would kill for a big fat burger!

Good Luck with your tests. I just went thru those tests myself last month. 1 up and 1 down. That pre test stuff is the pits. I was also found to have the start of Diver... Knock on wood no pain yet or anything like you had but have to slow down on the xtra peppers and such on the sub's.

Just got released now have to go home and take it easy for a few days and continue on my antibiotics, feels great to get out. Thanks again everyone.

Ohh and I forgot to mention no news on the crones test yet, and found out I'm a borderline diabetic. A complete new set of eating habits are in my future.
