I did buy a new target a couple weeks ago. Still have my shoulder issues, and have also been fighting tendonitis in my bow hand elbow. But will get out and fling a few arrows very soon. I too have tendonitis in my elbow. I get the shots every so often. Mrs. Squirrel yells at me for continuing to do martial arts (training, sparing, teaching). To have shoulder issues on top of that....I feel for ya. I usually start to shoot in September, but I will shoot often.

Nomad
Three week break , since last three shots . My bow hand was much steadier, 23ish yards . Draw was easy ,I’m not worried about making a kill shot, its can I draw the bow ?

With the old bow, I had them set at 15, 25, 35 yards with not much room in between them. Haven't had a chance to dial in the new arrows on the new bow just yet, but will probably look for the same setup.
WWJD_Hunter
Change this year to single adjustable sight , so far I like it. I also love this small target easy move around and to store in my garage.
dbHunterNY
Pulled out one of the bows yesterday evening. Here's my first that was either at 40 or 46 yards. Don't remember. Second pic is group at edge of yard from target. 46 yards. Definitely didn't mean for outer 12 ring. Dumb shit luck. Can't see rings that far out. I was just aiming for bottom 1/3 kill shot.Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Draw was easy ,I’m not worried about making a kill shot, its can I draw the bow ? I hear ya. I lost around 25lbs and have been lifting 3x a week and I feel great. So great that I took my bow to the bow shop and had them up the poundage to 54lbs. It felt great there and shot 263fps (up from 238). Then I came home and drew it a few times and feel like it’s too much movement with my separated shoulder. I’ll likely go back next week and turn it back down so I can draw easily from any position. Nomad
Ya I’d like to lose a few LBs, four months of no gym is taking its toll . I hate running, I tried for 10 days or so,it just sucks and too many bad body parts . Chin ups and push ups in the garage and one kettlebell is ok for strength in some areas , but I’m not burning calories, I have no will power to diet without going to the gym .

With no commute and working from home I can lift during the day downstairs and eat dinner at 5pm instead of 9pm. It’s been life changing. I get all my outside work done before the weekends now. Bolt action
Feeling good at 15... Need to extend the range to shoot the 25 and 35.
Swamp_bucks
Bows all done. Arrows ended up at a final weight of 436 and flying at 263fps. Yes we ran the arrows through a chrono. Got home warmed up and this group is at 22yrds 3 arrows.
Swamp_bucks
Dialed in pretty good. Got my release pattern down. The nice thing about the react sight group it at 20 and 30 its preset out to however many marks I have. The wider group is at 50 tighter group is at 60. Bow is shooting great and arrows are flying great.
BizCT
Shot my bow for first time since September. Upped the poundage so need to re sight in. Took 22 total shots at 20yds. Using HHA setup tape. 3 shots at # 15 too high, as expected. 3 shots at # 13 still too high16 shots at # 10 good height22 total shots. But Felt amazing. However, i’m pissed off. I comment all the time on this forum when I see guys like Moof and others shooting so many shot groups at same target. I fear it’s too easy to break an arrow. Well because I was sighting in I decided to shoot a 3 shot group instead of single shots. Big mistake. 1 arrow busted. The other looks ok and I flexed it. But now I’m scared to shoot it. Sucks! Should have stuck with just shooting 1 at a time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Otto
Nothing better than seeing a tight group of 5 arrows! When using my compound, I shoot at the 5 different bull-eyes on the bag so I don’t hit another arrow. Not so with my recurve - i need to see what and where I am off.

Swamp_bucks
Still finding my grip on the new bow. Pictures are 30,40,30. Second 30 is with a different grip. 40 needs work still but plenty of time. Edited August 4, 2020 by Swamp_bucks
Hock3y24
First shots of the year, 30 yards. Not gonna adjust anything till I get my form back and am sure it’s not just me.
grampy
First shot since winter. First shot at new target. 30 yards. Group of six. Needs improvement, but I'll take it with my rickitty old shoulders and elbow. Will be good to go come October. I do love this bow. I seem to do well with moog's hand me downs......

Hock3y24
Flung a dozen arrows today, here’s the first 3 at 28 yards. Gotta build the muscles back I was smoked after 12 arrows.
BizCT
Took 28 total shots today. Glad I shot at 20yds again because I adjusted my sight in Tape dial by 2 numbers. Launched a few from 40yds so have a general idea on a number range to continue next time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Hock3y24
48 yard shots were on the menu while grilling today. Confirming I need to tweak my new sight a bit. Good news is my sight tape looks right. Edited August 9, 2020 by Hock3y24
