Everyone give a warm welcome to Chase

We picked him up from the breeder yesterday, hes a 9 week old chocolate piebald rat terrier with hazel eyes. Hes a little mush, only 6lbs now will get to be 16lbs or less. His mom is 10lbs and dad 16lbs. Kids just love him.

I have wanted a Rat Terrier for years but my wife won’t let me. We do have three dogs already though so I don’t blame her haha

Congratulations, Chase looks like a keeper for sure. I am familiar with Rat terriers as I had three of them, they are great little dogs. 

Mine all had prick ears and were around 12 lbs, below is little Allie, she could run like the wind blows.

The picture really doesnt show his size, hes so tiny. Yeah 3 dogs i think your set for now..haha..they are a small breed but suppose to be tenacious, very loyal , loving and protective of both humans and thier animal friends (we have a cat), hope they get along.

Love dogs, they become a huge part of the family. Yours should get tons of enjoyment no doubt..

Heres Chase almost  7 months old, smart as a whip, very obedient, loves the family and gets along great with the cat. Pictures are from this past weekend at the cabin, he loves to be free, went through stream for first time with not a care in the world.  He has absolutely no fear and is very protective of his house/property and family.
