Awesome day out on the water! Honestly the weather was great it was cool but sun was out and the fishing was hot. We went 9 for 12 on king salmon with 3 lake trout thrown in to hit our limit on the day all within about 3 hours!!!!!!

2 doubles and we ended the day with 4 straight always having 2 hooked and working. As soon as one got in the boat another one hit a line in the water.

Matter of fact one horse power ins measured for a steady output, but one horse can peak well over five horsepower if not more for a short period, like pulling a heavy load up a hill etc...

Ridiculous day on the water yesterday, over 75 smallmouth, 2 steelhead and a northern all boated while centerpin fishing floats and jigs. Best smallie of the day was 5lbs 1oz on the scale. My Buddy and I floated the Schenevus Creek today with a canoe and i got this slammer Brown,my biggest ever out of a creek. He hit a cp swing spinning lure and measured 22". The water was just a little cloudy and just high enough for us not to scrape bottom in the shallow broad riffles.

The meat on the fish is super pink,he either was a native or stocked a few years ago,but the creek has plenty of natural reproduction.

That had to be a Nantucket sleigh ride for the ages! Sometimes that pink meat is a shrimp diet, lots of scuds in there maybe?

scuds i am not sure about, but lots of insects and crayfish for sure. The river has the best hatches in this area. It is a neat ecosystem, the schenevus flows into the susquehanna, and a couple of good sized creeks feed the schenevus along its way, lots of water and spawning ground.

Test run with the boat.  Dropped a line out for a couple of minutes while fooling with stuff to make sure it all works.  Successful test run and didn't even get skunked.

Stripers have made it up to Albany. At least a couple dozen boats on the water between the Corning Preserve and Patroon Island Bridge.

Nice!  A week from tomorrow, I have been invited by an esteemed member here (Dinsdale), to fish for stripers on a charter down near Kingston!  Looking forward to catching some!!!  And most of all, meeting up with Dan!!!
