Beautiful morning and the birds are gobbling! Only problem is I think I’m in the middle of a Jake party from the sounds of the gobbles.

Started out good where I'm at. Had a tom gobbling on his own early.  Then heard another just before fly down. Then I heard hens. Called in the second gobbler twice but couldn't see him because it was too thick.. Had the boss tom at 60 yards for a second. Then 2 jakes came in to me from a different direction.  All is quiet now since 6.

Tons of gobbling on roost, then silence.  Moved to a different area.  Sun is shining and I'm having a difficult time staying awake.

Another dumb 2 year old educated.  In the heat of the moment once again I put the dot right on his white head at 20 and shot high.  I either need a new sight that I can lower enough to just shoot how I want, or a new gun.

No, you're right, I suck.  He came in at least 300 yards in 5 minutes, easy shot, I really need to get over this idiocy I'm into for the last 2 years.

On the board! Called once, never heard a gobble. Four hens and this guy came in to feed in the fresh spread manure.

I’ve been within 40yds of A good bird 4 times in the last hour. He keeps zigging when I zag. He’s got a bunch of other birds with him and without much leaves it’s making it tough to lay the sneak on him!

Was out tent camping with my wife last night and we were awoken this morning by a flock of very noisy turkeys...only a few arm-lengths away from our tent.

Always heard aiming 1/2 way up the neck is the rule of thumb.
