Just need the doors (the hard part) and it's done. I'll wait a few weeks to stain and seal it so the lumber can dry out5 points

I am not sure if this was ever posted here before, if so I apologize. While some may get all bent that this is political, I don't see it that way. But I still put in this area to make sure it didn't get twisted. This young lady knowns more about the difference between an "Assault Weapons" then Andy, Hillary, and all the people blocking "Black Rifles" will ever know. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_-N9_tnWBo4 points

Same here. Been running a "trap line" around the yard for about a week now. Must have caught 100 of the little diggers already on 3 sets. Just using a few sunflower seeds on them so no gooey mess. Might have to do a euro for a nice addition to the trophy room,lol4 points

I wanted to see if I could get a nice char on a steak with propane like I can over coals. I was pretty shocked I actually did it. Only been cooking on propane grills for about 5 years. Before that it was always charcoal or over campfire coals. Nice little char on top and a perfect center! Brussels sprouts and a mayo based mac salad with bacon.3 points

So group of jakes roosted 125 yards out. Soft tree talk they loved , clucks , scratching. Now they're out 250-300. I can't even call in jakes! They hurt my feelings3 points

Hoping for deja vu in the morning. Just roosted a longbeard in the same exact spot I killed my bird yesterday. He strutted out in the field with 3 hens til 8:52! It's the EXACT same hunt as yesterday. I killed the imposter bird, this one is the full bearded one that has been there for the post two months. My wife will be behind the gun. We are gonna try without the blind...3 points

So I got my 54 strawberry plants in and lined by a 3 ft high hardware cloth fence. My middle finger to the rodents and rabbits...the other middle will go up later in the form of corner extension and bird netting for the deer and coon....The deer destroyed my last 7ft high chicken wire fence...Buck tangled up in it, taking it and a couple of ornamental trees as well.....This is better. I miss my strawberry patch.....2 points

Thanks guys, I looked into it, not going through the headache of getting the DEP permits so ill probably stick to the forests. As of now looks like were gonna be heading to baxtertown. Were going to be staying in Poughkeepsie at a friends house, so I guess ill make one last plea for someone to share a good spot near there with me lol!? Someone mentioned salt point, but that's pretty vague. Also, all the advice should be helpful, it really is greatly appreciated. On another note, hows the fishing up there? Also got licensed for it this week. Looking to really use every bit of outdoors I can this weekend lol1 point

I shoot mine out to 60 at the range (when I have time to go to the range) with no issues. Plenty accurate. I run straight Blazer vanes on my arrows. No damage at all.1 point

Congrats on the tiller. If I were you I would keep a good eye on it. Tilling virgin ground puts a ton of torque on those things. I know first hand because I destroyed one a couple years ago. Unbelievably, the manufacturer (big brand name tractor maker) rebuilt it for free and I was clueless as clueless gets. We have clay soil around here and it gets very hard. Like you, I was going along great, early in the year, when the soil was moist and there were no weeds. But then it got a little later in the spring, a few more weeds (roots are tougher than you think), and harder ground as days got warmer on our clays. First I completely broke the hitch arm on one side (suddenly the tiller just fell to the ground and started to drag). At the same time I bent the other arm. We replaced those and exclaimed "POS Tractor Maker". But then we went back out with it (setting it much shallower) and basically blew it up. The ground was way too hard. This was with a brand new 25 HP tractor with a brand new 50" tiller. I finally realized it was my fault. You think that a big $20k investment will go through concrete but don't be fooled. It might depend greatly on your soil but I would seriously, and as a fellow sportsman, caution you about rototilling virgin ground. You should really have it flipped over first. I hate to sound like a know-it-all but you will find this to be the general consensus. It takes a lot of force to rip up ground and that force becomes torque if the soil has not been loosened up in decades. I hope everything works out for you1 point

Sadly for all the blowhard gun control advocates everything she said went through one ear through the empty space inside their heads and then quickly exited the other ear. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk1 point

One hen, not necessarily low population. She just may be to and fro from her nest and your yard on her travel route. Betting she's on eggs . Was it winter hwen you saw 10-20 hens? Winter flocks , they split up in late winter . I had 25 birds roosted above my treestand during ML season. Now I'm hard pressed to get a gobble as bastids moved and split into smaller groups. Birds might rip on roost, they might not, they may gobble when hens go to nest late morning, they might not.1 point

Belo I very much like it. I went the hanger route for now. It's on a basement wall but with a mount , flat screen, and now this sticking out from wall, it's getting crowded .1 point

Bernie's relevance is as an indicator of how far the Democrats will go with Socialism. Bernie is just stupid enough to preach it thinking that will get him elected. Every election from now on will show how much farther left the Dems will go until they achieve total Socialism. It's incremental.1 point

Neighbor brought over a jar of Apple pie this winter as I snow blowed out their driveway a few times and also a Heady Topper beer, another neighbor a good tough to find stout for the same thing. Not much of a scotch, bourbon ,whiskey guy. Too many bad experiences in my younger years and can't revisit them. Although tequila I can go back to.1 point

I'll throw this out there. Anyone perhaps interested in loading TSS turkey loads in 20 gauge or 12 gauge ? Guys love toting a 20 gauge jacked up with these and they out perform 3.5 " 12 gauge loads at 40 yards. #9's are supposed to be great but NY doesn't allow anything under #7's I believe. We could all throw in to get the shot, hulls and such . Just a thought for you reloaders. Would have to meet up to get such ammo from person who reloads as wonderful Safe Act and all. Apparently my current loads and daughters are defective as they don't make any noise so far this year1 point
